    Opinions on homebrew competition circuit

Compromise and allow out of state/club member competitors at individual events while reserving the aggregate LA Homebrewer of the Year award for a state resident.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I am bottling a 5 gallon batch which has been sitting in a carboy (on the yeastcake) since the 1st week in December '09. The carboy has been in an air conditioned house and covered with a t-shirt. There may have been a couple of points over the summer in which the carboy reached 80 degrees F...

    Tulsa Oktoberfest

www.tulsaoktoberfest.org/ My wife was reading People magazine and came across a blurb about an Oktoberfest in Tulsa, OK. We're thinking about making the 4 hour drive and spending a Saturday at the event. I am wondering if anyone here has ever been and if so, what their general impressions...

    Bud Light Golden Wheat

My local liquor store got a sample and gifted a 6 pack. It reminded me of Blue Moon. I could definitely drink golden wheat as a session beer. Not anything mind blowing, but certainly much better than bud light.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

man, I've made about 60 gallons of apfelwein following EdWort's recipe over the last year. I have yet to let a single bottle age longer than two months. this year, I'm going to have to get more capacity so that I can develop a better pipeline!

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

    11029.5 + 5 = 11034.5

Looking to make an amber ale

yes, thank you. that helps. I haven't made any beer for for a long time...and I've only done it once. When I did make beer, it was with an extract kit from AHBS which handheld me through exactly what to do. What I have now is a a shopping bag of ingredients with no directions. no, I...
