Anyone have experience with Morebeer glycol chiller

Alright folks. I don’t have any other chillers to compare this to. The reservoir took 8 gallons of distilled water to 2 gallons of kosher PG. Just to give you an idea here’s a pic with one Spike glycol pump and another one with a gallon water jug. I still don’t have a brew to experiment with...

Anyone have a recipe for Lush?

Yeah my Lush was from a growler from Fremont. Sorry I didn’t specify initially.

3 in 1 BIAC vs doing this all over again but electric this time

Wow! That’s impressive. Edit ... Oh. I just got to the mash tun. That is awesome with the bag holder. I’d just get the MT for BIAB without worrying much about LODO

How loud/quiet is IceMaster Glycol chiller?

I just received mine and haven’t set it up yet. I’m planning to do so this week before my next brew. Will report.

I haven’t fired mine up yet. Just received glycol and will have it running probably tomorrow afternoon. I’ll report with some photos. Size is similar to a small filing cabinet.

3 in 1 BIAC vs doing this all over again but electric this time

Oh wow. Really good search result. There is a little bit of me regretting not going with Stout but I’m not about to do a sour grapes self guilt. Lol. Edit: I really dig the bottom kettle drain.

3 in 1 BIAC vs doing this all over again but electric this time

Im not one to adopt this method but folks are seriously looking into it. I’m partially doing it since I’m installing a steam condenser because doing that is more affordable than installing a condensate hood. Here’s a good link...

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

Not sure what @Desert_Sky needs but I guess it depends on the tube diameter. If your design is 5/8” tube then I would just need the plain tube end and use my existing QD. If it’s a different size then I would need just a QD that fits your design. I’m going to probably be shopping after the...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Would size of batch be a factor? Like if over 10 gallons the system my produce more concentrated odor vs a batch less than 10? Just speculating since I’m waiting on my kettle and condenser.

Anyone have a recipe for Lush?

Welp, mine turned out darker and drier. I attribute it to the power outage, longer mash, and overnight wort rest. Does anyone think wort sitting in boil kettle overnight may have oxidized? Gives me reason to do it all over. Anyway, Lush is on the left and my version on the right. Mine is tasty...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Wow. I still have a vent I installed on the garage wall (my failed vent hood install). I guess installing a basic exhaust fan for odor is not a bad idea. How long did it take for the odor to dissipate? Noticeable in the neighborhood? I have nosy neighbors...

3 in 1 BIAC vs doing this all over again but electric this time

Hi again. I completely love my 3 vessel 15 gallon Spike system. Previous I put together a 10 gal spike BIAB kit with an induction plate. I hooked up a pump and added a whirlpool arm attachment. I got a few brew on that system. But as I alluded few weeks ago after all that I was longing for a 3...

Brewers Best Milk Stout Brew Day Question

Hi. Looks like a good recipe and a lot instructions. I can see how you can over think it. 1) Steeping grains (chocolate malts and etc.) first in 150-165 degrees and not boiling water. Remove after 20 mins, bring to gentle boil, and then add LME and etc. 2) Yes, when there’s 50 mins left to the...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Oh, good to know. Well I’m ground level so I too will have my hose going to the tree or flower bed like CodeSection. Thanks @BrunDog for your detailed advice. Can’t wait to get my kettle back.
