    Wood-Aged Beer Pirate Strong Ale

I think that's what happened with the yeast, I soaked the wood chips in a pint of the rum and then just dumped the whole thing in. Now that I have gone back and read some more people say to strain out the chips.

    Wood-Aged Beer Pirate Strong Ale

So i cracked one of mine the other day about a month after bottling and well i am not pleased:(. I added way to much rum to it so its over powering :smack:, its not carbed enough:confused:, and its very "thick" not like any beer i have ever had. My only option i can think of is to try and age it...

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

I was wondering about using different fruit in this receipt but keeping everything the same. I know u use the bread yeast cause it stops working before all the auger is gone cause it covers the taste of the orange pith but does the acid from the oranges being changed out cause a problem

i made one this weekend and tried it. 25' of 3/8" copper dropped temp by 50 with one pass so i think it was just to short so i think im gonna make it into an immersion or a counterflow chiller

    Keezer vs. wine cooler?

Go with a mini fridge and a controller. U can ferment store and have a front door with it. Plus u can pick one up anywhere cheap used. I just got one for 15 bucks at a yard sale. I ripped out all the shelves and bent the freezer tray down (very carefully) against the back wall. Just waiting on a...

    Can I use these bottles?

Don't bottle to carbonate in them. To much pressure will build up and blow it. U can put beer that is already carbed into it from a keg but if I was u I would just use to ferment small batches...
