Yup, it's definitely right size because it's the same one as I used on the first batch.

second batch - unexpected airlock issues

You guys are awesome! Thanks for all the advices and help! I will definitely use vodka or starsan next time for the airlock. I made a video this morning: (sorry, there is an ad in polish at the beginning and also the video is flipped but you can see what's important)...

second batch - unexpected airlock issues

Hello everyone, I just did my second batch, a iipa..everything went quite smoothly (except the fact that it took longer to boil and longer to cool than expected), but I had a problem with the airlock and precisely it's rubber stopper part. I left it inside the bucket full of sanitizing solution...

    Heady Topper vs. Pliny

I agree with the previous speaker. I had both beers (at the same time) twice...and I drink Pliny as much as I can and I must say that it is significantly better to my taste. A lot more well balanced. Super hoppy and still extremely drinkable.

Hi from Riverside, California + quick questions :)

Cool. I got it now! Thanks a lot, I started to get worried I could have caused some sanitation issues...But yeah, I sanitized the airlock, filled it half way with pre boiled water, but I didn't put that little plastic lid on top. I'll try to find it in the morning and I'll put it on...I was...

Hi from Riverside, California + quick questions :)

I think I wasn't clear either. My airlock has three pieces. Main one, the glass tube that goes inside and "jumps" when the air is coming out and the plastic cap that would cover the very top of the airlock. Should that cap be on during fermantation? It will block the air from coming out and the...

Hi from Riverside, California + quick questions :)

Hi everyone, I just brewed my first beer on Saturday, a hoppy ale... (4oz cascade + 2oz willamette), we'll see how it goes. My main goal is to get a proper double IPA at home :) Wondering how long will it take.. Anyway, if anyone will be reading this, can I ask a newbie question? when you...
