    Fermenting too long??

You aren't even close. I've left some sit in the primary all summer. Others have left them for many months.

    Monster Mill MM2 2.0

I have one and love it. Yes, both ends move, so you can adjust it to keep the rollers parallel.

    yeast question

You didn't mention how big your starter is. If it is less than 2 quarts, I usually don't worry about decanting. I just pitch the whole thing. For temperature, either strategy you mentioned will work. You just want the little yeast soldiers to change temp gradually. Avoid shocking them by...

Kegging/Force Carbing Help-Beer is Sitting in Purgatory!!!

35 is pretty high. Most brewers won't go above 30. It sounds like you've got lots of foam from the shaking and co2. I'd let it sit still and rest for a few hours, or better, overnight. Them check the pressure and bled off any excess.

    Cinnamon Sticks In Primary OK?

I tie dental floss to the sticks and dangle them in the carboy. The dental floss makes them easy to remove.

Do I really need a refractometer?

I agree with the post above. I brewed just fine without one, but i didn't know what I was missing. Now it is one of my favorite pieces of equipment. I love the fact that I can quickly check gravity readings at any temp, including during the boil. I used to take samples all along the process and...

Used too small stopper...am I in trouble?

It is completely ruined. Please wait until it finishes fermenting, then bottle it and send it to me for proper disposal

    Anything i can do?

I disagree. It isn't salvageable. Bottle it up and ship it to my house for proper disposal.

    Bar rescue thoughts

I saw an episode last weekend for a gay bar where the owner closed the bar three days after the show. Fired all the employees and closed up. I bet John Taffer was pissed after investing the time and energy into revitalizing it just so the owner could walk out.

Are there caps or a capper for twist top bottles?

The twist off bottles don't seal reliably with caps, so I toss them in the recycling bin.

Wort Chiller - Loose or Tight Coils

Correct, however at some point additional length is only a waste. Once the cooling water warms to the temp of the wort, then you aren't exchanging any heat. This is why two 25' coils in a parallel layout will work better than one 50' coil.
