I haven't used the combo so I couldn't say. Over many generations, it might. Your taste buds will let you know when the repitch has run is course. I've never used any combo more than three times, including mixed fermentations.
The fact that the term is 100 years old and there's no easily found reference to the person who coined the term suggests to me that it was simply coined as a matter convenience by some brewer at the time; slang that was well received in the day. The fact that we might not fully grasp what is...
I stumbled across a clearance price on a Brewer's Best 8 gal poy with two ports for $51.99. They emailed later that day to say they were out and couldn't find more but would give me the newer brewer's beast version ($132 retail) for the same $51.99.
Looks tasty to me.
LHBS only has the 2L Swaen crystal, which I like.
As far as the tea, brew the beer as normal and try adding some strong steeped tea (one tea bag in an ounce of hot water) to a pour of the beer.
I've been wanting to try a screw top monster energy drink can. See if it will seal well enough to hold carbonation.
Although people might wonder why you're getting tired after having drank 6.
Ahh, I gotcha. I'd go with Mangrove Jack British Ale and be happy with it.
It's funny how many people always end up really liking Cascade beers. No school like the old school.
I came see it being that cheap. Full featured conicals from SS and Spike are $500+. I'm guessing the $400 range. And the bucket id's wayyy overpriced. It's a frickin ss pot with a dent in the bottom and a horrible spigot that loosens itself when you turn it (I have two 14s).
If the SS conical is cost competitive, you've got a customer here. I'm quite happy brewing my small batches in 5 gallon cornies, but being able to collect yeast in the jar is enough to push me over the edge.
