    Using fruit...steeping vs. secondary fermentation

How long do you usually keep the fruit in the primary, and about when is the "tail end" of fermentation? Are you saying something along the lines of if you have an estimated FG of 1.010, to add the fruit at like 1.020 and keep checking gravity until it hits 1.010?

    Bubbles in Hydrometer = fermentation?

Never really seen this many bubbles in my hydrometer when checking to see if fermentation is done. My beer is at about 1.019 so I think I can still get a few points out of it (estimated FG is 1.010). Do these bubbles mean fermentation is still going on?

    Anyone with experience with WLP029?

I went ahead and just pitched 2 packets due to lack of time for a starter. I mean it looks fine... I see a Krausen formed, maybe there's not a good seal on the bucket lid? Would that really affect any flavor since the co2 is still creating a "layer" between the outside air and the wort?

    Anyone with experience with WLP029?

makes sense... do you have any experience on why someone would ferment so far below a recommended fermentation temp THEN ramp up?

    Anyone with experience with WLP029?

Anyone ever use this yeast? I decided to try out Brulosopher's Best Blonde Ale this past weekend and pitched my yeast at 56 degrees and have been fermenting at 58 degrees for the past 2-3 days now and haven't really seen any airlock activity like I normally see. I do see a small krausen...

Well damn...what did I do wrong?

Was about to post something similar to this lol... I accidentally pitched my WLP029 on Friday morning and forgot to change my temp control and came back Saturday morning to find my wort at 45 degrees! I immediately turned up my temp to 60 degrees and still no activity ): But by the looks from...

How do YOU decide what to make next?

wow! Didn't think I'd get this many replies! Looks like most people so far create their own recipe. For those who haven't stated already/those who are first time posters to this thread - do you find a popular recipe on a forum, THEN tweak it to be your own, or are you literally creating your...

That is if I don’t finish the first keg before the other brew is done fermenting! anyways, any suggestions on how to get this bottle holder off without messing up the...
