Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

The First thing You do, to your new Icemaster Max2 Chiller, to work with Fementrack! My 110 VAC switching is up on the wall with my Fermentrack on other side of Brewery. Had to override the onboard pumps, to switch on/off, with Ftrack commands. I used an A-B toggle switch to isolate the 12 vdc...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

When do you have time to actually brew a beer? :)

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Its as simple as picking - A, B, or C, what you want to ferment! And Viola, it is on the screen! Just like McDonalds ordering kiosks.. LMAO KEG SCREEN ! TO THE RESCUE!!!! LMFAO, again!!! Your the BEST

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

LOL I would, but its on my TV screen up on the wall in the brewery and that would look strange.... What do I want for FREE?

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I just wanted to change a few Fields, from saying "Beer Profile....." to read Wine Profile or Meade Profile. I am not touching the Script. The last programming I did, was back in 1976-1982, with COBOL, RPG, FORTRAN, and BASIC + I don't want to blow up the Compiler and smoke my beer with 100...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

@Thorrak With all of your "free time", is it easy for us non-programmers, to edit our Dashboard from saying "Beer Profile" to Wine or Meade, Profile ? Also applies to Wine Constant.... etc. No biggy, just mentally strange using Fermentrack on a Wine, that says "Beer ......" Edit..... Sorry...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

@Thorrak , all of your hard work for us Brewers, is really appreciated, even if you do not hear this every day. Your Fermentrack have been working in my Brewery, along with Tiltbridge, for years now, with great success! Thanks a Million Toasts!

    Yeast stalled from pressure?

@refect You must put an accurate pressure gauge on the fermentor along with the spund valve. If any of your gaskets or tri-clamps are not holding higher pressures, the gas will leak out to the point of below your spunding valve set point. Don't always trust the one gauge that you may have on...

    Us05 under pressure

I just got a new BrewBuilt X3, and the F'n relief valve will not let me go higher than 10 psi.... Its built into the top main Lid, so sucks I can not "override" it, to my liking of 12-15 psi for Lagers. So far, other then that issue with the BrewBuilt x3, its better then my SSBrewtech Uni Tanks.

    Us05 under pressure

BINGO, @beersk , I just used US-05 first time yesterday for an American Porter (see Beer and Brewing recent recipe). and after many awesome Spunded Lagers, this beer seemed a little slow out of the gate, dropping gravity points (see Fermentrack, here on HBT, for temp control and Tilt via...

Brewbuilt Heat Pad on Ss Brew Tech

I bought many parts and fittings from this place, including the solder on type bulkhead x tri-clamp adapters (weld ferrule) This link shows the "weldless" adapter. You only need the drill bit, also from them - https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/tc15wlf_xl.htm I have seen plastic bulkhead...

Brewbuilt Heat Pad on Ss Brew Tech

I agree, that belt-wraps do work, but can be too slow to heat up larger volumes. For instance, if my wort coming out of the heat exchanger is too cool to pitch a yeast starter that is at room temperature, then the rod is the solution. The cost of the Rod is only $20.13 including tax in PA, and...

Brewbuilt Heat Pad on Ss Brew Tech

Definitely YES, all resistance type, heating elements must be submersed in a liquid (heat sink), or they will quickly burn out. Heat Pads, (like Fermwrap) are more forgiving and very low wattage. They do not have to be in a super efficient heat-sink, just strap the heat tape onto the outside of...

Are there any cyclist in the group?

@RCope 2013 Strava was only about 3 years old, and very few knew about it. You must be a "junky" Do you Run, Ride, Swim.... I like to hear stories from Our Founding Users! How was it back then? Been brewing beer since 1994, and there was Jack ****, sources to go to, even the young Internet...

Are there any cyclist in the group?

With the Garmin Solar, you can ride a very long time without charging. Keep in mind, most bike riders usually ride when it is nice out and sunny... perfect for a solar recharger. My friend who rode across the United States in RAAM23, in 10 days, never had to recharge the battery, even as half of...

    Brewtools F150 Unitank or BrewBuilt X3 38Gal

After looking at the Brewtools F150, it is a No-Brainer, that the Brewbuilt X3 is the best choice, "future-proof" (I know, cause I had to modify my SSbrewtech tanks), and the price in the USA is great.

Brewbuilt Heat Pad on Ss Brew Tech

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that just about any heating pad I ever tried works good. The cheapest are the ones you make yourself from "Reptile Heat Mats". You can buy them any length and width, cut it as needed, solder a cord to it, and it is cheap and effective. I think I bought mine on ebay...

Brewbuilt Heat Pad on Ss Brew Tech

Better yet, go buy this 200 watt, Heat Rod, with 1/2 inch threads. Just screw it into a Tri Clamp x Female adapter, control it with Fermentrack (here on HBT), and you are set! Works better than any heat pad I have bought and/or made. Do not get any more wattage than 200, or your 5-12 gallons...

Are there any cyclist in the group?

Yes, it has Your courses that you custom-built, or have ridden and saved, or you can copy other riders course that they posted publicly, and keep it, edit it, for your own use. If you are in unfamiliar areas and want to ride safely, you can see what the location your at, Heat Map is, and it...

Are there any cyclist in the group?

@RCope , there are a LOT of super great endurance people on Strava. I never knew you could ride a bicycle 300 miles a day for 10 days straight, all the way across the USA.... Race Across America (RAAM), until I met an Ultraindurance Rider on Strava, from Poland. I was lucky enough to be...
