HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

That's what I'm attempting to do... Couldn't find anything on "The Google" within about 10 mins so I figured I would see if anyone here knew. I'm following the schematic on the original post, trying to wire the outlet and need some help with the spare power cord I found.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

So I have the correct wire, just trying to use it in the wrong spot...? Jumpers for hooking up the Arduino to the relay and stranded 18 gauge for the power side? I told you I'm a newb at this... The closest thing I get to hooking up wires and electronics is plugging the 1/4" cable into my...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I feel like a total newb... I'm on step one, trying to hook my Arduino up to the relay module and failing with my wiring... I have 18 gauge stranded hookup wire, and can't seem to get it into the female slots on the Arduino. Should I be using a different gauge, or solid instead of stranded...

    pH meter probe life expectancy

I've been doing a lot of hemming and hawing about purchasing a new pH meter, especially after seeing that the MW102 is on sale for $85 + s/h... My biggest hang-up is probe life expectancy. The MW102 has passed the HBT quality test, and the unit comes with a 2 year warranty, but the probe...

    Anaheim Scientific pH Meter (P771)

This is an old thread, but I just stumbled onto this product on Amazon and was thinking of picking one up. How is it working out for you? Or should I ask how did it work out for you? Anyone else have any experience with this make / model?

    Hot tap water for mashing?

I may have to delete all posts in this thread so the lawyers don't find them during the discovery phase of my imminent and pending lawsuit. I wonder if they have wifi in the clink...

Looking for opinions on burners (Darkstar, Darkstar 2.0, SQ14)

The distance from burner to frame was the first thing I noticed... My current burner is embarrassing and sounds like a jet engine, it's crooked and my kettle doesn't sit as flush as i would like it to. Plus I need a windscreen. I need to upgrade soon

    Hot tap water for mashing?

Good to know... I appreciate the insight. I guess maybe I can get this train back on the tracks by asking in simpler terms: do you fill your MLT with hot or cold tap? If not hot, why not?

    Hot tap water for mashing?

I didn't realize it until last night when I measured it... I'm going to double check my measuring process and adjust it so in the meantime let's just all take it easy and hold off on the judgements and name calling for now.

Looking for opinions on burners (Darkstar, Darkstar 2.0, SQ14)

How does the KAB4 compare to the Blichmann floor standing burner? I've been looking at that but if I can save $50 and get something comparable that would be nice...

    Hot tap water for mashing?

The dial is not even up all the way... I'll do an ice bath with my thermometer and re-test tonight. So what's the hottest anyone is getting from their tap then? Have you tested?
