    Nitrogen stout tap line length?

Wish I could add more for ya, but I own a different tap, here are a few resources: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/force-carbing-nitrogen-74948/ http://www.northernbrewer.com/docs (There is a "Nirto Keg System" doc)

    Nitrogen stout tap line length?

can't say I timed it, bout the same speed as a normal tap.

    Nitrogen stout tap line length?

I got up and running with about 6' of 3/16" tubing. Beer gas mix (75N/25CO2) at 25psi is giving a pretty good head. I forced carbed with CO2 first, may have gone over. My recipe ain't spot on, but definitely got the Guinness pour :rockin:

    Slanting yeast

Seconded. Working pure culture with a pressure cooker can be frustrating enough. I think any attempt to get pure media without a pressure cooker is going to just discourage you. So.. learn how to pressure cook a chicken (simple), convince SWMBO she must have this wonderful, juicy, quick...

    Nitrogen stout tap line length?

wait, carbonated on co2 only, then pushed with nitrogen only (not a mix)?

haha, looking for the same thing. let ya know if I find out.

    Slanting yeast

are you asking about sterilizing? Because that just cleans... so no, it can't be used for sterilizing stuff for slanting

syl-2352 PID heating above set point

yeah, reading a bit more i think that may be my problem. i thought i let it run the auto tuning, but i didn't let it go long, so i probably cut it off/f'd it up...

syl-2352 PID heating above set point

So taking my keggle system for it's maiden voyage i found that my PID continues to heat once it has reached the set point, albeit slower then when it is under the set point. i have not played enough to see how far above it will go, but it went at least 10 degrees above (F). I'm uisng a K type...

    Brew Science Plus

Ok, so I've graduated with a degree in chemical engineering, and I'm just finishing my first semester of a PhD program in chemical and life science engineering. I'm also putting the finishing touches on an electric keggle system. And now i want more! Specifically i want to go about...

    Aerobic fermentation

I think you are asking if calculating alcohol from OG-FG will work the same for aerobic vs anaerobic fermentation. If so, yes it will (probably). The yeast shouldn't produce any new compounds (in amounts large enough anyway) for the equation to change. The FG may change, the time it takes to...

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

It has become pretty common place to boil homebrew for 90 minutes because we cannot achieve the same even/vigorous boils as commercial brewery's, but this is more towards the "art" side of brewing as 60 min has worked for many people for a long time (though 90 min is always standard when using...

    My beer turned brown...

Haha, yes, i bottled my first batch, then immediately got a keggin system (had most of it before i started brewing, for dispensing from sanke kegs) And to the "might just be yeast dropping" well, it's still really cloudy. And beyond that the color change was too drastic for me to believe...

    My beer turned brown...

Eh, I'm usually too impatient to wait, and I'm much more comfortable setting the pressure to the desired carb level and shaking. Pushing the pressure up higher is 1) a PITA since I have multiple kegs and only one regulator (though I do have a valve for just this) and 2) makes me run the risk of...

    My beer turned brown...

That could be, though I have not had that problem with any other beers I have treated in exactly the same way. Maybe i forgot to purge the air from the head space after I filled the keg and before I shook it for carbonation...

    My beer turned brown...

Ok, not completely BROWN, but it has substantially darkened. Background: It's the cascade orange APA recipe from on here. It is my second time brewing it, only differnce this time was I dry hoped it, fine the first time. On this batch i moved it to the keg a bit early and it tasted green...
