    5/8" OD Copper Counterflow Chiller

    5/8 should be the hose not the copper. Mine is 3/8 copper inside 5/8 hose. I have seen using a 6" diameter piece of pvc with the copper wound inside and the water enters and exits through the end caps.

    Get a list of his equipment. You can do all grain for pretty cheap if you build some of your own stuff. Also there is always someone selling their rig on CL. Post what he is selling you and someone will tell you if it's a good deal.

    Question for those that use Keggles

    I draw from my keggle w/ a cfc to my fermenter (another keg). I use a 5 gallon paint strainer over the mouth out the keg to filter out as much crap as possible. I use a similar set up for hop additions in the boil.

    SCREW rice hulls!!!

    I am currently in the middle of a brew day. 4 hours to be exact. I use a direct fire RIMS and experienced my first stuck mash today. Holy S that was terrible. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Won't brew without them again. Today sucks and I only hope my brew isn't ruined.

    Ok. Here are the adjustments: 20lb uk pale 2 row 2 lb vienna 1 lb crystal 60 Mash: 50 @ 155 / 10 @ 168 1+1 simcoe/amarillo oz additions @ 20 10 5 0 Dry hop Going to lhbs wednesday so trying to hammer this out now. Fyi : 2 vials of WLP060 American Ale yeast.

    Has anyone ever melted a better bottle?

    Racked the IPA to the keg, filled the 6 gallon BB with hot water to soak the krausen, cover the top with a rag, and walked away.
