    Little Giant 3-MD-HC problem

I just got my LG pump and I am having a tough time threading the inlet on this. I tried a brass hex nut, and that wouldn't thread. I first tried a plastic quick disconnect, http://www.brewmasterswarehouse.com/product/0101728/polysulfone-disconnects-garden-hose-female and that didn't work...

    Great Mugs / glasses

If I'm in a bar and like their glasses, I ask the bartender if he would sell one. I try not to buy the standard shaker glass, its not very appealing to me. My girlfriend bought me a nice 11.2 ounce stiefel at an antique store for $5, I use it all the time.

Bubblegum esters without high fermentation temp

So, I took a brown ale recipe I thoroughly enjoy from time to time, and I took out the dark grains, and added a half ounce kent goldings dry hop for a nice summer ale. Fermented with wlp005 at 67F in a temp controlled fridge. Things that happened during my brewday that I am thinking...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewed a bitter yesterday in the hot humid weather...it was in record timing though. From start to finish ( including cleaning and sanitizing equipment) it took 5 hours. I feel dead today...but at least its rockin away with a nice krausen! :)

Brew Pal software in the iTunes App Store

On his website, he says he is working on the decimal point thing. For a way around the problem try copying a decimal point in another app and pasting it where you need it in BrewPal. Hopefully the update will bring some new features...like maybe a conversion table for all brewing weight and...

Sam Adams to lose craft beer status

I don't think we should use the governments definition of craft brewing. And in my opinion, Sam Adams is still a craft brewery. Too many people to quote that I agree with...

Ya have to give credit where credit is due...

But how much fun is it to bash them??? Its really easy for homebrewers, and fun to poke fun at triple hops brewed, or frost brewed, or cold activated cans. But we should not say things like: They use cheap ingredients to save money, ect (costs more to process those adjuncts). Its what the...

Trappist Ale --- The proper serving

A lot of belgian beers will have their recommended serving temps, and pouring instructions, along with the proper glass ( which is usually their own breweries glass) listed somewhere on the bottle.

Tell me I didnt just waste 4 hours!!!!

Justin from the Brewing Network did the same thing, and in an interview with Charlie Talley, he told Charlie about his incident and he said that his beer would have been fine and would have probably fermented like crazy. So have no fear. There was actually a thread on this site about those...

    Show us your BIG ONE...

Ehh I just realized I didnt get the pick of this one actually blowing off, but shortly after this pick it did. I would keep shaking the fermenter, and the krausen would fall, and then rise up and blow off again...this was a 3 gallon belgian dubbel in a 6.5 gallon carboy. BTW how...
