    So who's brewing this weekend?

I have help, my 4 kids aid in the sanitize, fill, and cap procedure. The biggist issue I have right now is having enough bottles. Looking forward to a keg someday.

Belgian Blond Ale SWMBO Slayer - Belgian Blonde

Ok, so i bottled 12 gallons of this on Saturday and realized that I had a question. Is its a Wit or a Blonde? I originally thought I was a Wit because of the yeast uesd, and I guess I misses the Blonde in the title. Any clarification? And yes I need to study up on the difference in styles I guess.

I was thinking more about mouth feel. I didn't know if cold crashing or gelatine would pull out the creaminess or not.

Scottish Light Scottish Session (60 Shilling)

This brew turned out delicious. I have had lots of compliments. Many people were wary because of the dark color, but took a sip and finished the glass with a smile. Smells and tastes of toffee, caramel, but not overly sweet. Smooth malt profile.

    capping threaded twist off bottles

Is there any way for the home brewer to cap the threaded "twist off" style beer bottle. If there was I would never been in short supply of bottles, however most of my friends drink Shiner and I have had a difficult time convincing them to switch just so I have a good supply of bottle available...

Noob question about using different yeast

Howdy there all, I's still fairly new to homebrewing and have a question about using a different yeast than the ones stated in the recipe. I see lot's of posts in the recipe thread asking "can I use this yeast instead of the one you posted?" I am just curious, are there some yeasts that are...

    Suggestions on cheap brew

Thanks again all, I was looking at the Cream of 3 Crops along with the Centennial Blonde. both look pretty good for a digging change out of the couch kinda brew. And I am kicking myself for not saving at least some slurry from the last couple batches I have done. I am wanting to begin buying...

    Suggestions on cheap brew

Normonster, if i just use the 2-row in Biermuncher's Blonde, do I replace the other grains with 2-row? or just remove the other grains from the equation? Again I appreciate all the help, I am looking into washing and reusing yeast, need to do some more research before I launch into it.

    Suggestions on cheap brew

I like a lot of different beer, I'm enjoying trying new styles. I'm trying to come in under $20, less if possible. I'm on my on my 4th AG brew so, still learning and trying to dial in my process and small system.
