    Is this too cold?

    in the closet my carboy was around the same temp, 55-58, so i wrapped it in a blanket and put it in a corner where the ambient temp is 75-80. now it's staying at a nice 66 degrees. i'm guessing the table i have it on is affecting the the temperature.

    Hello All, I have brewed my first beer! an all grain kit of Irish Red Ale! It's 3 days in to the fermentation, and until today it was a really active one. The foam is all but gone, and the airlock bubbles very slowly. I'm using nottingham yeast, and it's been kept in the low 60's. I forgot...

    Thanks! I just made my first batch the other day, an all grain Irish Red kit and pitched it with nottingham yeast. it's bubbling away at a nice 64 degrees.

    Full Boil on Stovetop?

    i was able to boil 6.5 gallons also on my electric stove top. . . although the burners are now discolored from the heat, and one of the supporting prongs has bent inwards. small price to pay, i say!:rockin:
