    Recipe opinions... Troegs Mad Elf

I brewed one last year. This is the link. It definitely got better as it aged. I have 12 left I'm saving for the this year. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f163/now-what-my-mad-elf-clone-281162/

Now what with my Mad Elf clone

It turned it ok. It was a bit alcoholly at first. Over the summer I had a few here and there and it mellowed out pretty well. I'm saving the last 12 for this winter. I'll update this then.

    Fruit Beer Succulent Strawberry Blonde

@IkeKrizzule I had the same set up and bought another bucket so the beer was off of the yeast cake. Then I transferred to my carboy for a week (which ended up being 9 days due to other stuff). Just bottled last night. My corona light loving wife drank an entire flat uncarbed juice glass. It...

    Safe to check

Thanks. The lid is still bulging. If I press on it the bubbles fly out but the lid will bulge within a few hours. I'll let it sit a couple more days.

    Safe to check

A belgian I made has been in the primary for 3 weeks. Fermentation was fantastic. I added the belgian candy after 4 days of initial bubbling had wained. It picked right back up after the sugar addition. For the past week there has been no activity but the lid is bent upward on the fermenter, no...

Now what with my Mad Elf clone

Thanks anyway. That made me laugh. I think I'm moving it to the secondary for a couple of weeks and bottle. I'll post results around Christmas.

Now what with my Mad Elf clone

I used a recipe from this site two weeks agohttps://www.homebrewtalk.com/f37/mad-elf-holiday-ale-45553/ to make a some Mad Elf. Everything seemed to be good on brew day. I added half of my extract at flameout from numerous posts I've read. It did seem like I had to add more water than normal to...

My Mad Elf Clone, maybe; help may be needed

While bottling another batch today I took a hydrometer reading and it is down to 1.015. I guess all is well.

    No bubbles from blow off??????

I actually thought about a leak. I checked the lid to make sure, for the 5th time, that it was on tight. I never thought about the tube possibly being the culprit. It also could be that I'm use to seeing the airlock bob up and down and this blow off is just different. The room definitely...

    No bubbles from blow off??????

I still don't see bubbles like I do with an airlock. When I push the top bubbles still come out. The temp inside is high so I think everything is ok. Should I just let it go. I don't want to open the lid.

    No bubbles from blow off??????

If I push the bubbles come instantly. So I guess I'm good. Thanks for the help.

    No bubbles from blow off??????

I've searched the boards for an hour and can't find mine answer. I'm making a Mad Elf clone so it's a big beer. I have this in a 6.5 gal fermenter. I have a blow off tube connected to a 3 way air lock. My blow off tube is connected to the inner tube of the air lock. The other end of the...

Thanks Brew2enjoy. It is just late enough that it makes the most sense to wait. No need to rush. What's two days?
