    IPA burnout

I usually have an IPA on tap, but it is a "barely" IPA by towday's commercial standards of over the top 90++++IBU so bitter my cheeks touch inside my mouth crap passed off as an IPA. Around 40IBU, clean malt backbone, 5.5-6.5ABV... and refreshing to drink and a good pair with fatty pork...

    new Beerman in town!

My homebrew is far cheaper than buying a decent beer(Heck even mediocre like Fat Tire is $1+ a bottle). And my go to house ale everyone loves is far tastier! Yes I keg, 4 kegs cost me $125, $100 for a 20 pound CO2 tank, $50 for 3 Intertap beer faucets, I had an old fridge I could use for the...

    RO System help

Buckeye Hydro is great! I have a 100GPD membrane system from them and with my ice cold input water(~45 degrees right now) I see 40GPD output. Neighbors drink coffee so I am filtering water for them and for beer, plus I filter for cooking now. My water has a stupid high amount of sulfates and it...

    Golden Promise in a Lager?

GP seems to bring forward more sweetness in the finished ales I have made compared to MO, I would imagine that sweet malty backbone would carry into a lager as well. Now I want to try a GP lager SMASH! I use a LOT of GP!

    Good beer turned bad?

If the beer was under CO2 there is no way it is oxygenated. Possible a fruit fly got in a tap and contaminated the line and it got back to the keg... or you had a bug hiding in the keg and the beer soaked through the bit of dirt and exposed it...

    First brew with RO water

I bought an RO filter from these guys http://www.buckeyehydro.com/premium-ro-systems/ the 100gallon per day RO cartridge which is more like 40 GPD with my cold water and only 40PSI water pressure. It will pay for itself in a year. But I do brew 2-3 times a month(myself or friends using my rig to...

LP Burner in the garage for winter brewing....

I brew in my garage, never had the CO alarm go off or the O2 sensor on the vent free propane heater shut it down. I open 2 windows part way and during the boil I crack the entry door open 2 inches for more air intake. I do have a fairly large garage though at 24x30x10 high inside so lots of air...

What I did for beer today

Added yeast to yesterdays brew run(gave it time to finish cooling down, I take it to 80ish then into the pantry where it is 64 degrees)

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewed yesterday... hack, snot, cough... in and out of the warm humid garage into 36 degree air to wash stuff did not help my cold.

What came in the mail for you today?

Some tap brushes to keep fruit flies out... not a problem this time of year but soon as garden canning season starts I get thousands of them. I now have enough to have 3 soaking, 3 in use and 3 as spares. Every 5 days I swap them and change the starsan they soak in.
