    New boil kettle

    Edit: Disregard.

    New boil kettle

Just out of curiousity, the thickness and weight seem satisfactory? As in you don't feel as if it will dent easily. I had emailed the seller and he indicated the thickness as 1.0mm. I contemplated picking one of these up awhile back but wasn't sure. Starting to reconsider, any additional...

    Chugger problems

Do they have the newly designed pumps out yet? I know the last time I checked everything was "sold out." Have been waiting to get ahold of one of their stainless steel pumps.

    my basement brewroom build

Looking good. The wiring was the worst part for me. I started out keeping everything super organized and perfect, but gradually got worse. The end product is pretty neat, but not to the extent of some others on here.

    bbentley's Keezer Build...

First, sorry to hear about somebody breaking into your house. Hopefully they catch them, and as you said luckily no one was hurt. As for the keezer, looks great. Keep up the solid work.

    Greetings from JAX

I haven't been to the beaches location yet, but was told that it is more of a "satellite" shop. To be honest, I doubt I'll make a trip out to the beach just for that reason since I live in St. Augustine and the Roselle location seems a tad more convenient. Do you go to any of the homebrew club...

    bbentley's Keezer Build...

Looks real good. What stain did you go with?

    Another E-build

Sorry for the long delay... I know I promised more pics a couple weeks ago, but I've been super busy at work. Anyway, finally got around to building a brew stand that I finished this evening. I have brewed 4 batches on the system so far using my old stand and have to say the system is...

    How to mount PID

I used a metal enclsoure similar to Kal's build. However, a toolbox or whatever will work just fine. As for cutting, I taped off the section I wanted to cut out and then drilled a hole in each corner. From there I just used a jigsaw to cut from corner to corner, real simple. I know others...

ugh, so I have a head scratcher

Agreed. If beer is flowing through the faucet then the faucet is obviously open, there is no secret passage way. You said you have other kegs hooked up, are these just carbonating or are they hooked up to faucets as well? If so switch the keg to another faucet and see. What kind of faucets...

    Wiring element in series/parallel help...

Ahh. On review of this you are correct. I let my eyes trick me. Thanks for pointing that out as my statement is indeed wrong.

    Wiring element in series/parallel help...

I believe the way you have them wired the left element is getting 240v, whereas the right is only getting 120v. In simple terms, if your two hot wires are L1 and L2 (each 120v), than each element needs to receive each hot. Hopefully this makes sense.

Does anyone make custom control panels?

For reference, I built a modified Kal clone that for the time being is controlled by one pid. I did include the amp/volt meters as well as the pump switches, etc. However, I wired the inside similarly to Kal's with 3 contactors and the like, but I will be the first to say that if you follow...

Does anyone make custom control panels?

What about the Electric Brewery? In case you have not, check out www.theelectricbrewery.com. Kal sells both ready-to-go and DIY kits.

    Utrocket's Hockey keezer build

I have to admit, I really like the look. What did you paint the chest freezer with to get that metal look? Also, where did the wine bottle holder on the wall come from?

    Another E-build

Sorry, I have been out of town since early last week. I will get some pictures loaded up tonight or in the morning. The panel is mounted on the wall and I got my 240v 30a spa panel wired as well. I did my first brew on the system last Sunday and everything went pretty well. I need to update...

    Another E-HERMS Build...

That may work, only one way to find out... Worst case scenario is you have to spend another $15. I probably would try the same thing if I had thought of that. On a side note, I noticed your from Summerville. I lived on James Island until Hugo and then lived in Irongate for almost 8 years.

Wiring 2 temp probes to one PID. Possible?

    Definitely go with rtd probes.
