    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Are you planning on cold crashing in primary? My small batch D-bock is in the primary now for 11 days, but I pitched S04. OG 1.079 and yesterday it was at 1.021 (74% AA). I will ferment for one more week maybe and want to cold crash for a few days.

    Fermenting a doppelbock

Thanks. I wonder if I should leave it at 65-68F as it is now. Or can I move it into a fridge to cold crash for 10 days?

    Fermenting a doppelbock

Just found this post, how did it finally come out? I have a small batch Doppelbock in the fermenter for 10 days now. Pitched S04. OG was at 1.079 and yesterday’s reading showed 1.021 which is almost 74% attenuation. Should I let it ferment for another week, or is it time to prime and bottle?

    Cannonball keg? Photos? Reviews?

I prefer 1.75 Gal to 1.5 Gal. Also like stainless look on cannonball.

    Cannonball keg? Photos? Reviews?

Looks like they have a newer regulator now: https://www.northernbrewer.com/collections/mini-kegs/products/cannonball-system-mini-regulator Or this one, but I would like a soda stream canister: https://www.northernbrewer.com/collections/mini-kegs/products/draft-brewer-mini-keg-system

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

My second warm ferment beer is a small batch Doppelbock....maintaining temp of 70F for 8 days now. This time I will be more patient and wait another week. Pitched S-04 yeast. Krausen has dropped and almost disappeared at the moment. Plan on priming and bottling, at room temp for a week and then...

What I did for beer today

Testing label designs for a small batch I am brewing for my friend’s birthday gift....I obviously misspelt Doppelbock!!!

    Cannonball keg? Photos? Reviews?

I am planning on getting cannon ball keg from northern brewer. I brew 2 Gal batches and this 1.75 Gal keg is perfect. Extra beer will go into 12oz bottles which I can use as taste testers. I plan on natural carbonation in this keg and then use mini cartridges to serve (74g cartridge price is not...

1.5 gal. Torpedo Ball Lock vs. 1.75 Cannonball or other?....

Thanks. I am planning on natural/sugar carbonation and use Mini regulator with co2 cartridge to serve.

1.5 gal. Torpedo Ball Lock vs. 1.75 Cannonball or other?....

What do you use for CO2? 74g Cartridges or a 5lb cylinder? I am very eager to buy one.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Like someone commented here, I have gushers!!! I opened one flip top bottle and half the contents gushed out, this is after 6 days of carbonation. So I opened all of them just enough to release pressure and sealed it back up. Hope this doesn’t ruin the beer. It kicked up all of the caked yeast...

4 days into bottle conditioning...it is clearing up nicely. I can see tiny bubbles rising from the bottom, mostly suspended.

PET wide mouth fermenter 3 Gal?

Wonder if the spigot you mentioned above would fit this fermenter.

PET wide mouth fermenter 3 Gal?

I have not bought it yet....I am debating with spigot or not. Siphoning is not as bad as having a leaking spigot onto my wood floors while it ferments in the mini wine fridge. https://www.mrbeer.com/1-gallon-glass-fermenter

PET wide mouth fermenter 3 Gal?

Thank you all for replying. Today I have decided to go with 1-gallon glass big mouth bubbler with spigot. Realized that 3 Gal would still give me about 30 bottles which is a lot for experimenting.

    going smaller

I know this an old post. I am also trying to go small and get a 3 Gal fermenter. Does anybody tell me about your 3-gal fermenter based on experience? Which one should I buy? I cannot keep my 6.5 Gal fermenter inside temp controlled mini fridge, so using that is not an option. Thanks.

PET wide mouth fermenter 3 Gal?

Any glass fermenters that are good? I am reading many reviews about them having inconsistent thickness that leads to cracking or shattering.

PET wide mouth fermenter 3 Gal?

I brewed my first batch in a 6.5 gallon bucket, and it in carbonating now in bottles. But I got 24 16oz bottles and some more!! So I want to scale down to 3 gallon fermenters for a smaller batch. Maybe just fill it with 2.5 gal wört. I want to brew more often with one set of equipment. I...
