    what could happen due to putting the yeast in at a high temp? aka above 82 degrees? obviously from what ive said its fermenting so that isnt an issue but can it have ill effectS?

    So my second brew, a coopers ipa with 3lbs of malt extract 1050og, was bubbling over in my fermenter. i did a full boil and it took super long to bring it down to temp and i probly put the yeast in while it was too hot. could this be why? what will happen? anyways i took out the double bubble...

    time isnt a factor on this brew being its my second and i got that out of my system... i dont really have a pot big enough so 8 quarts is sort of my limit. The kit is pre hopped if im not mistaken all coopers canned are? Last time i did the coopers i boiled it then added the malt and can off...

    So how long am I boiling bc the coopers says I don't even boil the stuff just the water I get different directions from everyone. Boil to long I'm told ill get carmelization idk what to do!

    You did read it right... So put in 3lbs of extract after its off the flame them dump it into the bucket with 2 gallons of additional water?

    So i just got back from the store with a coopers IPA kit, 3lbs of malt extract (because last time my alcohol % was way too low), priming sugar, and peach stuff! So now that i know there is a million ways to do this im going to do a 8qt boil. But how long do i boil the ipa kit and 3lbs of malt...

    so my original reading was 1.040 and now its 1.012 its been 7 days but assuming it stays the same doesn't that make my alcohol by volume kind of low? 3.65 seems extremely low for an Australian pale ale.
