    Floaty Bits

So let me get this strait to scooped of the krausen in the primary fermentation vessel. if you did this... dont ever do it again. if not let it be. Wouldn't worry about the drop in temp, just leave it be. Let it sit for at least a week. then check the gravity if your that concerned. more...

If you seen nothing by day 3 I would start getting suspicious. Also don't worry about the babby poop looking stuff that will be floating on top. I love brown ales and have a few good recipes that I can brew from grain to glass in 5 days(taste great by day 11) Your ferm temp sounds a little high...

    Brown question

I do mine 2 days out and always get a healthy starter but for this small a beer honestly you can pitch right in whatever yeast your using. give it a day and it should be fermenting like a champ.

Balrey wine for me and the new kid

after 2.5 days it looks like the monster is slowing down instead of a stream of bubbles there's only 1-2 per second, the pale ale however is gearing up with a nice krust on top forming.

    Blue Moon Clone

shouldn't matter just take longer to ferment. As far as the bitterness it could be a number of things with out being able to taste it we cant help to much.

    COuple bottling questions

So I bought a couple kegs and some other junk and it came with two INART red handle bottle cappers. Thoughts on age? This is the rougher looking of the two. I crimped one of the caps that came with the stuff and heres what it looks like on a 22 oz bottle. Having never bottled a batch...

    Cooling the wort

Immersion chiller, cheap and easy to make. less risk of nasties. and if your going to add water after the boil, stick with bottled water. Oh, and I get from boiling to 65f in about 15mn flat but I live in AK where the water is darn cold from the tap.
