    Bottling for first time and have a question!

    I always fill about 12 bottles, place a cap on and then actually cap when all are filled. works great for me, since I haven't found a helper yet.

    Gooseberries are hard to explain. Kind of a very sweet tomato with a grape like twang The flavor of the beer is a standard belgian wit with little more than a hint of gooseberry. A light berry aroma as well.

    corny keg cleaning

    I second that. Bleach will cause rust on Stainless, I made that mistake when I was a newbie.

    a 5 lb tank pushed 5 sankes at a huge bash of mine one time, I believe it still had some CO2 left. I usually paid about $12 to fill it up.

    Steep and Boil Question

    keep in mind that you will get more hop utilization from the larger boil (not to say thats a bad thing), but it won't result in the exact same beer for which the recipe was formulated

    I've had two Glass Carboys break, one was due to hot water and a jet bottle washer, the other was droped, cut myself on the second time, but not bad, (that was the same day I broke my toe, but damn that was a good Pumkin ale.
