Beginner mistake. Did I ruin my brew?

That is definitely a good point. I think I will give it a taste after a week and from there decide if I would like to add some dry hops and perhaps a hop tea. It is aready up to 26 litres in the 30 l fermentor though haha. It is happily bubbling away and has developed a thick krausen as well so...

Beginner mistake. Did I ruin my brew?

Here is hoping anyway. I think I might do a dry hop of 1/2 oz each of my flavouring hops (cascade and willamette) to counteract the dilution effect.

Beginner mistake. Did I ruin my brew?

I should mention the swamp chiller bucket is brand new and never been used for anything before.

Beginner mistake. Did I ruin my brew?

Hi guys, I was brewing an american amber last night and drinking probably a bit too much homebrew simultaneously and decided it would be a good idea to cool my kettle in my swamp chiller bucket which was halfway full of cooling water. To my horror, as I had my back turned the entire kettle...

Leftover extract - What do I make?

    Late addition hops only batch

If I were using this technique with extract I suppose I wouldn't even need to do a full 60 or 90 minute boil since there are no bittering hops at the start. Could I not just do a 20 minute boil and achieve the same result?

Hi guys, After brewing up a batch of American amber ale I have some leftover extract and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what I could make with it. The extract I have left is as follows: -1 kg CBW Golden Light LME -0.5 kg Bavarian Wheat LME -1 kg CBW Sparkling Amber...

    Late addition hops only batch

Thanks Yooper! I cut and pasted it right out of that article I linked to so I have no clue as to its origin. I just thought it looked delicious! And as for what to do with those 0 minute added hops, what would you recommend? Leave them in or take them out just after cool down?

    Late addition hops only batch

Hi guys, This is my first post in the forum but I have been brewing and reading posts for a couple months now. I am a relative newbie and have three batches under my belt. I found an interesting article, describing a technique of using only late addition hops in a boil to achieve all of...
