Can you dry hop after carbing?

Do you leave the hops in while serving? Or just put in for a week and remove --

Can you dry hop after carbing?

How long do you wait from the time you put it in untill consumption? Also, can you just leave it in there until the keg is empty?

    Crystal Grains

Well, if you mixed up some white sugar, some brown sugar, and some dark brown sugar in a bowl, and tasted it, I'd think you would get a hint of character from each ingredient.

    Next batch to brew- suggestions

I'm currently drinking an American Wheat: 7lb wheat (I used Munton's) bring 6.3 gal to boil, add 1lb wheat, and .8oz Amarillo hops boil for 55 min. Last 5 min, add 6lb wheat Flame-out addition of 1.75oz Amarillo Cool, pitch a packet of Danstar Nottingham yeast. Ferment for 1 week...

    American/Pale Wheat?

My local place had Amarillo, which was a surprise, so I went with that instead. ~ .8oz for 60, ~1.6 at flame-out, and I have another 1.6 for dry hopping - Found a gumballhead clone that inspired me :) Hoping I like this style! I loved the Amarillo aroma when boiling, couldn't resist smelling...

    American/Pale Wheat?

Good, because the banana/clove and yeast characteristics are what I don't like in a wheat beer. I'm more of an eat your wheaties plain type. I might give the willamette a try - what do yo think about Pearle? I have an ounce of that in the fridge, but would rather buy something recommended...

    American/Pale Wheat?

I like wheat beers, but I'm not a fan of the yeastiness of traditional wheat beers. I like Appalacian Water Gap Wheat, but even that beer seems to leave a bit to be desired. I was thinking along the lines of: 5.5 gal: 6lb dme wheat 1lb dme extra light Not sure on the hops, but was...

How about this extract ale recipe and technique - Anything you'd change?

Went off well Saturday, took me about 3 hrs or so with cleanup. I ended up using Nottingham since my WLP001 is still under my double IPA in the carboy. I should have known better, but the airlock was full of foam this morning -- Had to do an emergency blow-off tube... It's a wild party in...

    Magic Hat???

After all I've read about #9, I finally found a place with it on draft. Wow, was I disappointed. It was like drinking a very dry peach flavored iced tea. Maybe I'm partially biased, because I don't think fruit has any place in beer :)

Hows this welder for the DIY garage mech.

I bought a lincoln HD3200 from Home Depot for 459 + 10% off with a home depot credit account, it was down to a little over 400. Works great, came with everything but gas (optional). Of course I automatically had to have an auto darkening helmet :)

No problems on the equipment side, I keep talking myself in and out of doing a mini-mash.

How about this extract ale recipe and technique - Anything you'd change?

Sounds like I shouldn't have a problem with adding the specialty grains late with the DME: From BYO:

How about this extract ale recipe and technique - Anything you'd change?

Does the rinse water from the specialty grains need to be boiled for an hour to reduce the DMS? Or is this only a problem with base malts and mashing?

How about this extract ale recipe and technique - Anything you'd change?

Ok, I'll add about 2lb to the boiling pot with the hops then, should keep me safe. Any suggestions for my recipe? Anything I could add or take away? BeerSmith put it on the low end of bitterness and color for a pale ale, and I'm aiming for a highly drinkable "keeps you going back for more"...
