If you have the room you can just wye off the washing machine connections for a mop sink. I got lucky and rented a place with an old school heavy duty mop sink already installed next to the washer and dryer. I just use the 240v from the dryer for my induction cooktop.

That's awesome! I have a mop sink with hose bibs right by my brew station. Time to make a couple of short 5/8 or 3/4 hoses. My King Cobra should be delivered tomorrow, I haven't been this excited for a new piece of brew gear since I got my 20gal Kegco kettle!

I disagree. My experience has been that bulk conditioning might be faster a bottle conditioned beer will continue to change and usually improve in the bottle. YMMV

    Life's simple pleasures (besides homebrewing)

Me too! We're getting a blast of winter here on the Western Slope of CO. I want shorts and chanklas weather! [emoji295] [emoji476] [emoji482]

Experimental Brewing Podcast Episode 58 - Return of the Resolution

When I heard about Sean's old LME dilemma I had to share my Old Bulger Imperial Stout story. Below is a link to the thread where I documented the progress but the short version is that a friend of mine gave me a bunch of homebrew equipment and with it 3 old (like 9 or 10 years old) Cooper's...

    Cheap compact wort pump

BTW, I also use them to make cold brew coffee and to dry hop in the keg! You rock @wilserbrewer

    Cheap compact wort pump

I use a Wilserbag hop sack (as well as BIAB) and have no issues with the little tan pump!

Just scored a King Cobra shipped for $120!!! Cannot freaking wait to join the ranks. I already sold my plate chiller to a club member and now my old IC can be a pre-chiller if needed. Woooooohooooooo!!! [emoji482]

Need help with an Iron Brew recipe using cacao nibs, midnight wheat, and American hops!!!

Didn't score what I expected (28/29) but the bastards drank all my beer, so I guess they liked it! Shouldn't have entered it as a CDA when that's not what I made. Talked to one of the judges, brewer at a local brew pub, and he said he loved it! Just should have entered it as a Belgian Dark Ale...

    Is 3711/Belle Saison a Contaminant?

Took my split batch saison (WLP644 Saccharomyces Bruxellensis Trois, WLP590 French Saison, and US-05 as a clean comparison to see what flavors were yeast driven and what were recipe driven) to the club meeting and the French Saison was the overwhelming favorite. I need to do another with DuPont...

Old Bulger Imperial Stout-Brewing with REALLY old extract!

Thank you sir! Cracked me up and totally pushed the boundaries of what CAN makes a good beer in my opinion.

    What are you drinking now?

    My Iron Brew BelgoMurican Stout!

    Head retention issue

I bottled some of all three beers and took them to a brew club meeting just to get feedback on taste preference. Several people sampled all 3 individually and blended in various ratios. The French alone was the overwhelming favorite! I did have a couple of folks who said a blend of all three...

Old Bulger Imperial Stout-Brewing with REALLY old extract!

I bottled some of this from the keg and took it to a club event. Got several people to taste it (a couple BJCP judges [emoji16]) without telling them the story and people thought it was delicious! I expected this to go into the off flavor tasting and it's actually starting to come together and...

    Show us your Kegerator

I double insulated the tower and still have to pull and drink a couple of ounces on the first pour to get to the cold stuff. Let me know if you do order the tower cooler, it's on my list!

    Show us your Kegerator

I didn't measure but I'm pretty sure they are way longer than 4'. I used what was provided but might upgrade at some point. It is not the typical line I'm used to. It was rigid like really small PEX not like the extra thick vinyl. It was a PITA to get the barbs on my MFL fittings into the...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I ordered it from Williams when I bought the tower. Screws on and off like all the other spout tips but I don't think it comes apart. But it doesn't matter if you have ball or pin, just buy a ball liquid connector and use that to attach to your Intertap faucet and some beverage tubing.
