That's some pretty heavy trash talking!

Cowboys Got R Did yesterday!
Out of the other NFC East teams, the Eagles are the team I always want the Cowboys to beat the worst. Today is a good day.
The Cowboys have been looking good lately. Defense has come alive and the evil Romo has been conspicuously absent of late. I'm not ready to predict a playoff win yet, or even that they'll get there. They've got to beat some NFC East *********s first. Should be a good game this week against...
OK, so maybe not the "only" difference, but it's the "main" difference. 3/4 lb of chocolate is a BIG addition, which is probably why he decided to up the hop amount.
Yeah, someone else posted that, too, and I've actually got a note about it on the recipe on the 1st post.
The only difference is +.75 lb chocolate - seems like a lot to me. The "wrong" recipe is great, and I've brewed it several times. Brew what sounds good. That's what's so great about this...
I was going to suggest something along these lines, too. With a single burner, I think it makes the most sense. You DO NOT want to move around full, heavy pots of scalding wort/mash. Moving around several smaller buckets is much more managable.
Once I got Beersmith dialed in for my rig, my final volume is usually within a qt of my target for 11 gal brews - not bad. I'm afraid the plastic sight glasses I use on the MLT and HLT would melt on a boil kettle, too.
Yeah, sorry about the horrible quality. I need to fire that narrator before I do another one, too. :D
The probe on the pump (MLT output) helps me make sure that the heated wort coming out of the bottom of the MLT isn't above the temp I'm shooting for so I don't denature the enzymes. This is...
I have a direct-fired sanke MLT. I have a sight glass installed so I can measure my strike water and heat it in the MLT. I really like being able to do this. When it's up to temp I can dough in and recirculate for a few mins. I don't use any insulation. If I did, I'd want it to be a...
Things you use before you chill the wort need to be clean, but not sanitized. The boil will kill any germs that get in there. Anything that touches the wort after the boil should be sanitized. So the paddle should be dunked in a bucket of sanitizer before you use it to clear the hops after...
I bet your intuition was right and your wort was stratified when you took the reading. Next time, especially with extract brews, make sure it's mixed up really well before you draw a sample.
