    Control Panel Advice Needed

Sooo, I searched the threads but couldn’t find an answer to the following questions. Keep in mind I intend to be switched from propane to an EHERMS 50amp system before the end of the year. My handler/wife has green lighted my project, as long as it doesn’t make us too much poorer! Question 1...

    Tri-Valve

My concern is that if I use it to control the flow of my RIMS, I will end up losing wort through the other valve, which will be used to transfer to my brew kettle.

How bad do you think this is?

I usually use water from my tap, & I already got water profile from my water company which lets me know the type of water I have, luckily I have soft water so there really is nothing I need to do to it. But, according to Brew Like a Pro by Dave Miller, if you have what's known as hard water you...

    Building a Grant

Thanks for the helpful response! Eventually, when I'm finished with my upgrades (whenever that may be!) I'm going to be running my mash through a RIMS. Do I need a grant with this type of system?

How bad do you think this is?

I've had a similar situation happen to me. The difference was that someone intentionally added about a gallon of hose water to my fermenter to add volume! The result was that we made horrific beer! Overall, the result will mostly depend on the type of water you have, and the type of hose...

    Direct Fire SS Mash Tun

Yes, it's propane. So do I just circulate it at low heat? I know I have to set up some sort of temp. controller, will that adjust the flame?
