Looking for a good condition 10 gallon batch herms with control box

My concern is that if I use it to control the flow of my RIMS, I will end up losing wort through the other valve, which will be used to transfer to my brew kettle.

congratulations on your first batch. Say goodbye to your spare time!! In my own experience, I have found this brew forum to be a wealth of knowledge, and the members are great about getting back to you in a timely fashion. Never once has anyone ever made me feel like asked a stupid question...

I've had a similar situation happen to me. The difference was that someone intentionally added about a gallon of hose water to my fermenter to add volume! The result was that we made horrific beer! Overall, the result will mostly depend on the type of water you have, and the type of hose...
