Thinking about going BIAB. Anyone one with regrets? Tips?

If you mean out of the top of the bucket, it would get a little messy without the lid. Could always mount it lower in the bucket to minimize it

    Home brewers in Puerto Rico

In case anyone finds themselves in the same boat as me, there is 1 homebrew club in PR. Homebrewers de Puerto Rico, you can find them on FB or google, they have a website. They are incredible! The craft beer scene is still relatively new and considerably smaller than in the states but it is...

Thinking about going BIAB. Anyone one with regrets? Tips?

Ive only ever brewed BIAB, so nothing to compare it to but 2 years in and im loving it and have never thought a bout brewing any other way (except maybe getting an ebiab setup). I would call my setup a "budget" rig, bayou classic 16g kettle, kab4 burner, wilser bag and a homemade brew cart. I...

    Mangrove Jack's Yeasts review (M15, M36, M42, M44, M54)

I had the same results with m47, i made a BPA, fermented on the cool side, 62 for the first 4 days trying to supress some of the esters, slowly rising to 68. The beer is amazing, buts its an APA, not a BPA.

Specialty IPA: Belgian IPA Slightly Stoopid Belgian IPA

After a week on gas this was pretty astringent, i wasnt holding out much hope. But after another week of conditioning this beer is great. I had originally tried to brew this for a comp, as i dont much like the esters typically found in belgians, i thought this might be a good comprimise. It...

American Wheat Beer Rye Pale Ale

This sounds good, i actually have a different rye ipa planned for the next brew (Bissel Bros LUX clone) but if that goes well I might try this one. .5lb honey malt and .5lb C20 seems like a lot for a relatively small grain bill, does the beer finish sweet? Is that much needed to balance the...

Oatmeal Stout Flapjack Breakfast Stout (Chocolate-Coffee-Oatmeal-Maple Imperial Stout)

If your beer is reading 5 degrees higher than the environment, fermentation is still active and i wouldnt do anything but let it ride. Looking forwayd to your results, havent brewed a big stout in about a year, maybe its time

    Unicorn Blood

For those that have kegged this, what card level are you looking for. I've never done a cider before. I normally just set my beers to 12-13psi and leave them for a week or so, would that work for the cider as well?

    Blending dry yeast for NEIPA.

So i brewed a version of Marshall's Julius clone and just transfered to keg tonight. I tried to get the dry yeasts as close as i could but my scale wont weight tenths of a gram and wont even reliable weight something until it is atleast 3 grams (ordered a better scale). This beer is probably the...
