I wouldn’t wash. Krausen ring not an issue assuming sanitation was good to begin with. I wouldn’t wash it. You will have an over pitch but I didn’t notice issues doing that. Scoop half out and save for another batch and pitch in what’s there.

Did it out of habit. I fermented low 50s for a week then let it get to mid 60s a week

I pour in a sanitized jar as is and keep in the fridge. I do small batches so I pitch half a pack and use that slurry for 3-4 more brews Over the next 6 weeks usually. Never had an issue
