    Beer is getting better!

Fat Tire is always a winner in my book. So far its my only brew that I plan to make more than once. Well, that and more (and more) IPAs... And Choco Stouts... And Brown Ales... But yes, the Fat Tire was a definite winner in my kegerator.

Can I use this pump for wort?

Personally I wouldnt run hot wort through that pump. It isnt FOOD GRADE approved and there could be some things in there that could leech into your beverages. Sure its good for moving water - in something like a pond...

Please HBT community, help me before the SWMBO forces me to quit!

Like its been stated before, give those bottles some alone time and revisit them. I have a haus ale on tap right now that has tasted like a hairy butt for the past 4-5 months. (Yes it has taken it that long for it to mellow) However, I had a really good feeling that it was going to be...

How could anyone forget about beer?

I dont think I ever 'forget' about my beer, I just try to hurry up and have something to take my mind off of it when it turns out less than desirable. I have a haus ale that is coming up on 4-5 months old. Only because I went ahead and brewed some others that were tasty and helped me forget...

My new gimmick toy from the SWMBO

So I can safely use this glass to cook my crack rock in as well?!! This glass rocks! LOL Ive been using it all night as it was a fight night, and an excuse to drink more than just 1 beer. I like the glass, but it definitely does look cooler when its full cause you can see the definition...

My new gimmick toy from the SWMBO

No, its made from glass. :) Not cheap plastico. I was initially concerned about this at first, but now my main concern is not dropping it ;)

My new gimmick toy from the SWMBO

While I might be mildly annoyed with the SWMBO going out and spending $$$ today, I do have to give her some cool points for finding a cool gimmicky glass for me to use once or twice then put on display. Here is a shot of it with my bitter arse IPA Deelish

You cannot possibly be that effing stupid!!

Yes I agree. That site did kind of creep me out as well. Ive managed to stumble across a couple of bizarre sites as well. Well, come to think of it, most of them I was 'introduced' to when I was working in radio. You get ALL walks of life calling you (depending on the time of day that you are...

Using bottled water for all grain?

Why in the hell are people using spring water? SPRINGS DONT NEED TO BE WATERED!! In fact, the last time I tried to water some springs they rusted up on me and didnt have as much tension as they once did. What gives? :cross:

Wait until I've tasted my first batch before starting another?

Seriously though if you MUST be a beer ****, at least wait 2 solid weeks before cracking one. We all know the 'rule' is 3 weeks and of course more is better, but save yourself at least one bottle and shoot for 2 weeks. And yes, get to a crackin on that second (and third) batch(es) I have a...

Using bottled water for all grain?

Build yourself an inexpensive water filter. After 2-3 batches where you have to go and either buy or fill your water bottles you will seek easier methods. Since I built my filter, I have been pleased as punch. (I even fill bottles for drinking from my filter)

    Two Questions

Less space is an understatement... I brewed a Fat Tire clone a while back in which I used an oz of whole leaf hops for. It was a MONSTROUS ziploc bag full of these things that barely equated to an oz. I was impressed. :)

    Devils on Beer Labels

Well then we need to contact the PR department of Stone ASAP. According to Wikipedia (and AtG here) they are STONE WRONG! Its in fact NOT a gargoyle, but a grotesque which is commonly (ignorantly) referred to as a gargoyle or chimera. This misrepresentation of mythological mythology is a...

    Anyone Snus?

Camel snus IS like candy. It seems to be the American taste. Shoot me your addx in a PM and Ill send you a can of REAL Swedish snus. (Some Grovsnus to be exact) I think it might be suiting to your tastes as you seem to like Cope. And its a much superior product (my opinion + some fact thrown...

    Anyone Snus?

Ugh... I still use only Swedish snus. I made the jump from Camel a while back and have been using it since. I like the variety of SS plus much more is known about it than our American counterparts. (Sorry)

Christmas gift was a brew kit!

Do what I did when I first started brewing. (Following upon Revvys advise) Brew your beer kit and use the primary fermenter. Take your secondary vessel (carboy) and start some Apfelwein in it. Wait a while and enjoy!
