    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

Yes, what you said and mhochman are the big duh that I hadn't thought about. The delay timer for heating the water is a key feature for me. I want to be able to roll out of bed, walk to the garage, dump my grain in and go start the coffee maker.

    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

Not too bad. How many gallons of water for the mash and then how many from mash to boil?

    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

I'm seriously looking into this as well. In the fall of last year, I had my sights set on a 240V induction burner setup, but then I had heard of this system and put that all on pause to see what others thought. I really like the convenience and the fact that I'd save a step on sorting out an...

    Darth Vader Tap Handle

In honor of the long awaited release of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens I’m showcasing my Darth Vader Tap Handle. No spoilers exist in this post, nor in my blog post! Please don't add any here either. I basically 3D printed the Darth Vader bust (with a 1/4" hole) then drilled a...

    Kombucha tap handle

I just put links to their website and my blog post if you want more info. This summer Pekoe Kombucha Bar will be serving at Front Street Foods in Union Station in Toronto as part of the summer market. I believe they always have their standard bar open all year. Their website has their...

    Kombucha tap handle

I recently made some 3D printed Kombucha tap handles base on my experience making my WBHY tap handle. I think they turned out well. The logo provided to me came out really well and the orange on the green tea leaf really looked good in my opinion. I made a standard version and then for...

    Fermentation bucket liners

If any of you subscribe to BYO, you might have seen one of my DIY's in the March/April 2015 BYO Homebrew Hacks Issue. I'm basically using food safe bag liners for my fermentations. Cleanup has never been so easy! I've got a few option for bags through Uline, Amazon and Trashbagdepot on my...

    Compact Fermentation Chamber Heater

I keep my smaller fermentation chambers (aka converted dorm fridges) in the basement and with the winter we've been having, it's a cool 60 degF. Needing warmer temps for my ale fermentations, I had to whip up a heater. Dorm fridge = not much space available, so here is what I came up with...

    3D Printed Tap Handles

Yes, I definitely considered that option, and the heated insert tool that is made for it, but for the tap handles, the acetone trick and just pressing them in by hand, works just fine. For small inserts, I'll certainly consider your advice. I just haven't had anything that's needed them yet.
