i really love brewing in the fall & spring, just something about the cool early mornings and stuff. i haven't been brewing much, too busy. so two weeks ago i brewed my American Wheat, that i'll be adding some local honey too and then i brewed a hoppy American Amber. this weekend i'm brewing...

So, I brewed in Hell today.

ah, i had manifold issues a while back as well. i ended up drilling/tapping holes so i could still take it apart to clean. takes me a few extra minutes to assemble/take apart but its worth it not worry about it coming apart. you may have risk it, but i bet it'll turn out fine.

    The Brewing Network

i listen to alot of Can you Brew it and Brew Stong at work. just started listening to the Sunday Session. i do get alot of good info from it. i took up running this year and i started listening to brew strong while on long runs. takes my mind off the fact i'm fat/slow/tired of running haha.

the summer months can be hard to find time to brew. i'm down to half one keg, leaving 3 other taps empty! haha.

How many styles have you quit

Hitting your gravity in a PA has nothing to do with the style. like others have said, keep some DME around and just focus on process and getting your Eff down. also, look into water profile with the hoppy beers and see how that changes the beer. dont quit a style! some of my favorite...

    Attenuation Problem

i haven't looked into my water, but i didnt run into this the same time last year. but i hadn't thought water could be the problem. i was planning on checking my thermometer tonight. its the only thing i can think of (maybe water now?) that could be throwing me off.

    Attenuation Problem

Since i've switched to AG over a year ago, i haven't had any problems with attenuation. The one thing i've changed is using a theif to take my gravity readings. i'm using the same hydrometer i've used for years. my fermenting temps are around 68-70 (like to stay away from 70 but this time of...

ok...so i've never used the stuff till last night. i just bought some better bottles and reading about them people said not to use a brush, but to use oxyclean free. that stuff worked AWESOME. i put about 3/4 scoop in my carboy and filled it up, about how much do you normally use when cleaning...
