Goodbye Swamp Cooler, Hello Fermentation Chamber

I may have worded that poorly. The ITC-308 would have worked just fine as well. The BTC201 has everything incased in the box housing, rather than the separated input plug and controller like the ITC-308. Just a personal preference really, and I figured I give the BTC201 a try. So far it's...

Goodbye Swamp Cooler, Hello Fermentation Chamber

The main reason why I chose the BTC201 over the Inkbird was because of the single-unit housing design. The Inkbird system has all the same parts, but they are all external and "free moving". They are more versatile, but for my setup, I wanted something compact and mountable. The unit I bought...

Goodbye Swamp Cooler, Hello Fermentation Chamber

I posted in DIY but I wanted to ensure others knew about the build and/or first-timers with fermentation chambers. Shoot me some suggestions for lagers I should try with this bad boy! I surf this forum religiously when embarking on a new adventure or project. Thanks to everyone who contributes...

Goodbye Swamp Cooler, Hello Fermentation Chamber

I surf this forum religiously when embarking on a new adventure or project. Thanks to everyone who contributes and I hope to help others with this post. I have been on and off brewing beer for about 5-6 years now and have been using a swamp cooler to try and control temperatures. This works for...

Best temperature to add flavoring extract oil.

So the later the flavor extract is added, the more prevalent the flavors will be. Thanks everyone.

Best temperature to add flavoring extract oil.

I am curious to know when is the best time to use flavoring extract oils? I will be using LorAnn Gourmet Liquid Flavoring PECAN in an English Brown ale to give it a more nutty flavor. My question is would it be better to add the flavoring extract: - before cold crashing? - during cold...

Yazoo Hefeweizen is no doubt my favorite. Living in Louisiana, I can not get it here. To my understanding it is only sold in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee (where it is brewed, Nashville).

    Show Us Your Label

Yep, and it's still better than the ole sharpie on cap method. Very soon I will get each label printed up (office depot, laser printed) and append them to each bottle using this method. I will be sure and show off the results. :mug:

Igloo 7.1 FRF710 Kegerator Build (Cost + Pictures)

Depending on how tall the collar is. I have a 6 inch collar. So a 6.5 carboy on hump with airlock, will not fit. But, with 8 inch collar, it should fit with 1 in or so to spare. From the hump to top of seal (not including collar) is 18.5 inches.

Printed a few out on paper and taped them to bottles. They look great. I can't wait until I make them into real labels.

    Chest Freezer Specs and Layouts

I am thinking of buying the same fridge and was wondering if you were able to fit 4 pin lock kegs into it, plus 5# co2? I currently have 2 pin lock kegs but plan on getting two more kegs(pin or ball, which ever fits 4 kegs total).
