    Fermentation chamber, HELP!

I don't currently have a heater in my ferm chamber, a fridge, and it is holding steady at the temp set. But, it has been in the 80's and 90's here lately and the chamber is in the garage so only cooling needed at this time. As long as the ambient temp is above where you want to ferment, then...

    Recommendation for good wheat beers

I am looking for some wheat beers, preferably unfiltered, that may be available in the midwest. I have not had a lot of experience with this type, blue moon and shock top, and was not impressed with those. Looking to expand my knowledge and tastes for them, thanks in advance for the help.:mug...

Where to get beer in Myrtle Beach?

I was there in July and there is a Piggly Wiggly at Market Commons that has an incredible selection of craft beer, they also have a growler fill station. Liberty steakhouse/brewery was pretty good too.

airlock bubbled for less than a day

My airlocks have barely shown activity for all of my brews, 11 total, and all but 1 has fermented all the way down. I try not to get too excited about that, but it is hard each time to think that the yeasts are doing what they are supposed to be with such little activity. Like others have...

Can I Ferment 2.5 Gal in a 5 Gallon bucket?

Just because the airlock quit bubbling does not mean that fermentation is done. Like was said earlier, wait a couple of weeks and let the yeast do their thing then take a couple gravity readings to confirm. This should also allow some time for a little cleanup for a clearer beer.

    Simple BIAB technique Q?

I was thinking that the OP was going to tie it tight in the bag, then you would not be able to move the grains around. Your way would definitely make it easier and would give you something to hold onto when removing the bag.:tank:

    Simple BIAB technique Q?

BIAB is a total volume method, that is you put all the water that you need for mashing and boiling in the pot then add the grains. So if you are doing a 5g batch then you would have 7-8 gallons of water depending on boil off rate heated to mash temp then add the grains and stir. With all the...

    Simple BIAB technique Q?

Only problem I can see with tying it up and throwing in would be not getting all the grain wet since there is no way to stir the grains. If you put the grains in and stir them then it should not be a problem tying the bag afterward.

    Indianapolis Craft Brewpubs??

You could try The Ram, Scotty's Brewhouse, Rock Bottom or Broad Ripple Brewpub. There are also some breweries that have tasting rooms, they have all had good beers in my experience. Greg

    Drip tray attachment ideas

I used the command strips with L brackets, easily holds a couple pints and can be removed by just pulling the release from the strip. They were the big strips and 3 inch brackets, the drip tray is the Lowe's smoker box.
