What I did for beer today

Wow @day_trippr that is concerning to say the least. By bearings inside the rollers, do mean like the rollers in the attached photo?

What I did for beer today

Cleaned a couple of Sanke Sixtels so I can keg my Irish Red Ale brewed last Brewsday Tuesday. Next I'll do a closed system transfer of the beer to a keg.

    What are you drinking now?

@Dgallo I painted a former house that color once and everyone liked it. Good color choice.

What I did for beer today

I weighed and vacuum sealed my first of the season harvest of Nugget Hops today. Quite happy, I ended up with 1 lb 3 3/4 ounces. That's a lot of Nuggets for a homebrewer. I still have about half a pound from last year's harvest. I'm gonna offer a pound to a local brewery and maybe they will toss...

@ garzlok I like you process using a blank cap on top of your valve. Enabling you to remove the hop bong offers flexibility moving the fermenter in and out of your fermentation chamber and allows it to fit into shorter space. I like that and I'll be copying your process. Thanks for sharing.

What changes made your beer better?

I too have been homebrewing 30+ years. Took the leap to all grain in 1994. By 1996 I was doing closed system fermentations and transfers. And kegging all my beers. I gave up on bottles then also except the occasional competition offerings. These things significantly improved my beers. But next I...

What I did for beer today

I put a Sixtel of Idyll Hounds Yellow Fly IPA on tap for the 4th of July pool party. That compliments sixtels of HB Czech Pilsner and Murphy Brown Ale. I think I should have the beer requirements covered.

What I did for beer today

I stopped by a new brew pub in Mexico Beach Fl. They are just getting set up and started. Not brewing on site yet but they had a blond ale and an IPA that were contract brewed using their recipe. The blond was, well a blond mild clean and refreshing. But the IPA is very Citra hop forward and...

What I did for beer today

It's Brewsday for me but I'm at the beach working for a couple of weeks making me miss my scheduled brew day. I was scheduled to brew an IPA today and since I'm away from home and can't brew, I stopped by Idyll Hounds Brewery in Santa Rosa Beach and scheduled a pick up of a Sixtel of one of the...
