    Cheap compact wort pump

Can someone tell me what camlock fittings I would need for each side of the tan wonder (i.e. input and output) if I wanted to pick them up from, say, Bargain Fittings? Use small words, and speak to me as if I had a head injury, or something.

Are there any hops you actually dislike?

Is ... the hippie armpit attached to a girl? Maybe? No? Okay. :( Summit: I'll agree with the onion / chive / garlic hate. Was one of the first hops I was able to peg as being not for me. Moteuka: Soapy. Dirty. Dank. EKG as a dry hop: Sickly sweet, almost like sour milk...

Does it have the temperature probe? Seems too cheap to be true!

Pine / Resin Pale Ale - Too much on the dry hops?

Nice. Thank you for the good feels, man. My Simcoe hops are kinda old and have been in the fridge for a bit. I was going to dump them into this, for the hell of it -- if I crack the package open and they don't smell like moldy foot-cheese, I'm guessing I'll be good? Lastly, all the reading...

Pine / Resin Pale Ale - Too much on the dry hops?

Howdy, gang. I'm experimenting with a recipe for a pine-y / resin-y Pale Ale, like a turned-down Sixpoint Resin. I've got the following put together, but I'm wondering if I'll end up with the equivalent of a pine cone jammed into my mouth. Is there anything that I can change which would get...

    Mini/Dorm Fridge for Lagering

YOWCH! That BURNED, man! Naw, you're right. As soon as I hit "submit" I immediately found the 300+ page thread with the controller build and thought that it looked supremely easy -- no soldering needed! And it looks like dorm fridges vary from model to model, so if you're willing...

    ebay aquarium temp controller build

I'm going to put in my vote for *not* doing this, and here's why: By dropping the sensor into the beer, you're basically plugging the controller into something with a fairly large thermal inertia; the fridge/freezer will be dropping the temperature of the air, waiting for the beer to catch...

    Mini/Dorm Fridge for Lagering

This might be totally true for someone with experience, a parts list, the tools (soldering pencil, etc), and the patience to wait, but I gotta admit that I'm hesitant to dive into that pool. Do you have any links to a ~$30 DIY single-stage controller (with plugs)?

    Mini/Dorm Fridge for Lagering

I've been thinking about doing something like this, too, but I think there are some difficulties to be overcome. First, unless you're just cold crashing or doing long-term cold conditioning, you're going to have to gradually lower the temperature of your fermenter from it's first-stage...

First lager: pitching rate seems insane?!

Now, to be clear, I think Mr. Drew is being a bit too aggressive in his anti-pitching-rate screed (ironically making him a very dogmatically anti-dogma), but I'd like to contribute my skepticism, here. That link, above, regarding the under-, over-, and properly-pitched yeast counts struck me...
