    Hydrometer Heeeellllllpp! 1 st batch in carboy!

    You need a graduated cylinder so that you can take a sample with either either a turkey baster or thief and use your hydrometer in the graduated cylinder. Also allows you to taste your beer!

    Why not just buy a second primary? especially if using a bucket for a primary, way cheaper.

    This is just a silly statement. Depending on the beer your drinking and how much of a drinker you are, a night of drinking lets say is 10 beers at 150 to 200 calories each (which is pretty low for homebrew) would be 1500 to 2000 calories. While a 10 mile run for someone of average weight burns...

    Are you fit or fat?

    Pretty fit 5' 10" 165 lbs. Drink 2-3 beers a day. But I am pretty active, I run a marathon every year and do bike races plus play soccer on the weekends. I will admit that I used to be in better looking shape but love food and beer to much to give that up...
