He is a pic showing the BB full with 1.5 ounces of hops floating around in there. I thought I had compensated for trub loss, but it looks like I only ended up with about 2.75 gallons in the BB.

Maybe this is just crazy to me, but I have made a handful of starters before but they have never had a krausen like this!!! I figured it's be neat to share. =) This is the first time I've washed yeast and used for a starter.

Ironically I had a conversation with the owner of my LHBS about this exact subject. I was getting ready to buy another vial of yeast for this upcoming brew and he remembered me brewing a somewhat similar beer a few weeks earlier and recommended me just racking ontop. I have never done this, but...

I know the majority of BIAB information shows up under the All Grain forum. There is a great "sticky" thread in the All Grain forum and that is where I learned how to BIAB. It would be nice to have separate forum for that, but I'll let the moderators chime in on that one. =)

That's impressive!!! Makes me want to drill a hole in my kettle and start adding heating elements. Given I am still getting use to the transition to apartment brewing, but my brew day is still 5+ hours.
