    Any Mexican lager suggestions?

I guarantee i'll cave in and try it haha. I'm likely to forget to keep some of my starter to make more starters and run out of 940 haha

    Any Mexican lager suggestions?

Don't you need 2 packs of baja? ( 5 gal ). If i needed 2 packs, im more inclined to stick with 940. Am tempted. Not great reviews all around for Cellar science though.

What I did for beer today

My 100th batch in my 35L robobrew is a 6.5%ish cascadian ale. I rarely brew over 4%, but this is a bit special, and today i dry hopped it with 140g of Centennial ( 5gal ). Will get 5 days at 15c, and then i'll bottle. Haven't dry hopped for a bottled beer for years. Threw them in a hop sock...

What grind gap for my system?

I find it totally depends on the grain im using. I now stick to one base malt after having issues when not adjusting mill gap for the grain. I generally use .037ish for my robo on my base malt. If i do change base malt, i will do a test crush, see how it looks, and adjust from there. Basically...

What no one wants to say

I get that, and i don't mind supporting LHBS, but i'm not going to pay more than double for it.

What no one wants to say

The ones that seem to stick around for a while here usually have a mix of consistency, atmosphere, and location.

What no one wants to say

Same reason that flaked rice from the Indian section of the grocery store is less than half the price of flaked rice at the LHBS, even though it is the exact same thing. The people who sell to the grocery store aren't aware people pay double at the LHBS

What no one wants to say

Here in Aus, some are closing, but as has been said, there are still a heap more than pre covid. Lots. What's really popular here is small breweries in industrial areas with a food truck ( usually changes week to week ). A lot less regulation than an actual brewpub. Though quite a few local...

    Any Mexican lager suggestions?

Living in australia, imported beers don't always travel well. Corona i find hit and miss. A good one is lovely, most are meh. I did try Victoria a while back, it was really nice. Tecate, well, the price gives away the quality, and i'll drink it on half price wing and beer night haha. Pacifico is...

    Munich Helles questions

S189 is very clean at higher temps. I use it at 15c/59f, and it is quite clean. I use it for clean summer rice lagers. I think it would be great for helles also. I used it regularly at 12c, and when my fermentation fridge started to struggle to get to 12, i set it to 15c, and could not pick up...

Bottling directly from the fermenter (Fear of Oxidation by Iron Maiden)

I just use table sugar. Shake them up once capped. Never had a problem.

    Yeast Starter, Maximiser?

Try "cheap yeast dot com" ( yes he's in australia ). He does cheap shipping for 7 sachet's of yeast. Its pretty good i think. Unless you are really rural, then all shipping will be expensive i suppose
