Everyone Always Says the Air Lock is Not an Indicator of Fermentation...

I gauge the fermentation off of the bubbles. When I no longer see them going i know I can start with the hydrometer to get something accurate.

    Do most breweries drug test??

Wow, I am amazed. I remember seeing a different show years ago that said different. Although this show didn't test it, they just interviewed doctors.

    Do most breweries drug test??

you would have to consume an insane amount of bagels in order pop for opium. I believe Mythbusters or some other similar show tested this.

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

If i had known it had bothered anybody I would have not said a word about it. I had a friendly conversation with him the other day about my next brew, and what it was gonna be. No hint at all that i ever did anything to ever bother him. I am just thinking, "what the hell happened that day to...

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

This is right along the lines with what i am planning. I am hoping Josh can discuss this in a manner where sides are not taken. I'd rather the bartender not lose his job either, but with the way restaurants and bars run in SC, especially Greenville, I could see it happening. I've worked behind a...

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

I've got an appointment to talk to Josh, the owner. I'll update afterward, but I have not given up. I will be going back after this is resolved.

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

I'm really just shocked by the whole thing really. No one has ever said anything to me about being indecisive. I know what i like, but the selection changes constantly, like most micro-brew bars.

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

Are you kidding? I've never heard of anything like this ever happening and being ok, unless the guest is drunk.

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

The $20 was to pay for the beer that i ordered, I wasn't expecting to get change. If i order something I pay for it, regardless of if I drink it or spill it. Like I said, my reaction was not the best.

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

So last night my brother and I were out shooting some pictures with some new photography equipment i bought. We decided to have a beer at our favorite bar in town, Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria. I've been going there since I got back from Iraq, about 2 years now. As we got upstairs, i saw that...

    Call of Duty Black Ops

Just the best COD that has been released so far. (sarcasm) The multiplayer is the best so far, i think. I like how you can play split screen on Live. The biggest downfall is that the campaign is solely single player, no co-op.

How do you calculate your recipe?

So what about those random brew-days when its a all guesswork. A hand full of hops and approximately X pounds of grain. those are fun for SMASH-ing.

    Dogfish Brew timeline- 4 weeks?

The pressure comes from the weight of the beer on itself. Kind of like ocean pressure, but on a much smaller scale.

Why is beer infinitely better after work?

Especially when you have a crappy management staff!

    Beer Labelizer - Label Generator

Yeah, I was very proud of that one. I still have a good bit of it, I'm up for a trade if you really want to. it's good, but didn't carb properly. Still good though, everyone who appreciates beer has liked it so far. It's just sooooooo thick to drink regularly. Anyways PM me for my e-mail or...

    Legal Question?

Step 1: Take a clean, shiny keg filled homebrew. Step 2: Slap a Coca-Cola sticker, or Local brewery sticker on the side. Step 3:Claim it is commercial beer or soda. What are they gonna do, they have to prove you produced it. Are they gonna get a warrant for your legal brewery in your home in...
