Yeast Experiment: S-33 vs WLP 570 vs US-05

Tell us how you really feel! I would still like to hear how this turned out... I like all three yeasts even if S-33 is not the best choice for a Belgian. Now US-05 - is a my go to yeast - is even further from a Belgian then S-33! Hope they were all good! But if these were suppose...

    Your opinions on Safale S04

Not sure why but yesterday I brewed and used S-04 after having experienced the tangie\twang tastes I had experienced previously. I probably should have stuck with my mainstay US-05, but I wanted to give S-04 one more try. I was not sure if I could improve the flavor by fermenting at lower...

Anyone else have really thirsty friends?

For me the time is the most expensive part. I do all grain and double batches which take me almost all day just to keep up with my habit much less my friends and family! Grain is fairly Cheap... my time is limited!-P If I could get friends or family to help on brew day I would be thrilled...

    Cheapest bar tab ever?!

I know I like the bar tab I have at home with my home brew (most days better then packaged beer)! Which is one of my major motivators - drink good beer for cheap beer prices! But it is always nice to be able to go out and have a few without breaking the bank. Enjoy!

Edelmetall BRU Burner from Northern Brewer

I am sure there are pro and cons for both the Blichmann and the Edelmetall burners. I like the price point of the Edelmetall and it very pretty! Don't know about its looks making it snobby - someone mentioned earlier. But option for leg extensions with the Blichmann is definitely has a...

I messed up and had to under pitch

Yes 5 5gl\20l batches Okay so if I mess up again I should just wait and pitch later - just keep it sealed up! Yeah they are bubbling away after two days - usually they are bubbling away in less then 12 hours. hope it does not get too stressed! Thanks for the feed back!

I messed up and had to under pitch

I set up for a double batch brew day had all my grains - all my hops - I always have some around if at all possible. When I go to the brew shop (buy local) I pick up two of these - 1 of them and couple of those as far as hops and brew based on that selection. At the same time I pick up a...

What do you think - is it okay or dimp it?

Sorry stepped away for a few days!! I ended up tasting the beer and it seems fine. I bottled it without priming. Will wait awhile before trying. Thanks for the feedback. Good info! Thinks again!

What do you think - is it okay or dimp it?

I think I should at least do what you suggest - does not take much to bottle it up - either I loose the batch or save the batch!

What do you think - is it okay or dimp it?

Thanks for replies but i understand the preference of one not move to secondary and to use a container more appropriate to the volume but I had the equipment I had so I went with my existing gear. I am interested in opinions as to what the film is??? I am not sure if it could be some protein...
