Best Pilsner base malt to impart noticeable breadiness?

That swaen pilsner is a great malt. It produced an award winning Helles for me.

A problem with kegging, returning problem that is.

What do you mean "purge the co2 with fresh gas"? Is this a new thing? Is the low oxygen thing so serious now that we have to purge our purge gas? Maybe the problem is the o2 part? That's it, the carbon got oxidized.

you still use hops in your beer?

What you're gonna want to do is lager it at ale temperatures. This is a new thing. There's threads about. You still have to call it a lager if you do this though, it's not the same if you call it an ale.

Finish out a hardened stainless hole

You can use a dremel, but it will be hard to keep it perfectly round. I found a dremel bit at HD that eats through stainless like nothing. Problem is, it tends to take bites out and can get carried away quickly.

    Best hops for bittering only

Yeah, that's where the Hallertau comes into play. I think Magnum is just too high of an aa for a decent flavor or aroma addition.

    Best hops for bittering only

Another vote for Magnum. I've used it for bittering (all styles) for a few years now. Cheap and easy to buy by the lb (or kg), and very versatile.

The "I'm pretending to be a Mechanic" thread?

Got a 2010 Tundra back in March because 1. It's a Toyota and 2. My (98 ) Tacoma had 230k + miles on it and showed no signs of stopping after 10 years of owning it, so I was feeling good about a bigger Toyota truck. However, with my proven track record of buying odd-ball problemed everything, 3...

Helles is great beer. If they don't like that, they're not worth wasting your time on.

    French self service bar

That sounds like the worst arrangement I could possibly imagine.... (inherited farmhouse, France, self serve bar with snacks and local wine/beer) You're probably stuck driving a Porsche or Range Rover or something too. /obvious sarcasm/ Sounds amazing!

BlackSwaen Honey Biscuit Malt - Anyone used this?

I agree with both of these statements. I only have experience with Swaen Pilsner malt, it makes a great Helles. Never used the honey biscuit, but if I didn't like honey malt I probably wouldn't.

    Co2

"4way with shut offs" I put up with a slow leak for over a year and finally just got tired of it. I couldn't find it spraying everything down, but had a suspicion that it was my cheap "Chinese made" shut off/check valves. I just ordered and installed some nice check valves with hose barbs...

    Co2

What are you using for regulators? Do you have a splitter? Do you have shut-off valves?

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

I want to say it might be a little too "fruity" for my particular taste. I've made this beer with fresh s04, and now make it as a lager (with wlp830 or 833). I have it on tap right now (833), and it's so clean and malty that I don't think I ever want to go back(to an ale yeast). I personally...
