Why are Stone beers so expensive?

Ruination is real expensive in Texas too , so is Ballast Point's " sculpin " ... Both are awesome when you get a good batch , but at damn near 20 bucks I can find jus as much of not Way better ipa's from Lagunita's or New Belgium

    Fermentation issue

What kinda of beer is it homes ? Do you know what kinda yeast it is ?
  5. I

    Damn !

Yea I'm thinking we had fermin action , but we've only done ipa's and imperial pale ales , this was an imperial nut brown with a diff yeast that I've used ... Hoping the yeast jus ferments weakly and quickly compared to the US 05 yeast that have been in all the other kits we've done
  6. I

    Damn !

Its a imperial but brown from brewers best , it's a partial but it recommends to add extra water for more ibu so we always always try to top it off pretty

    Damn !

Taking a reading now is pointless without an O.G.reading right ?
  8. I

    Damn !

    No sir , no readings
  9. I

    Damn !

Yea bro , I need to get them readings , but it's kinda to late now ... We just pulled it out of the ferm chamber and stirred it up super good with a paddle , but I don't think I should have done it now , the was a big yeast cake in the bottom that got totally disturbed and whipped back into the beer
  10. I

    Damn !

I don't think it got going because of the absolute lack of bubbling and when we opens the lid for a peek. The was almost no sign of krausen in the bucket , but had some krausen in our bubble tube .... Do uk yeasts ferment lightly ?/ do they ferment fast ?
  11. I

    Damn !

    I don't think it's done , I don't think it ever started
  12. I

    Damn !

We tried spin it it but the pull from the thief is pretty raw .... I kno for final f.g.readings I'm just gonna poor a glass and test out of that
  13. I

    Damn !

And we tried taking readings but for some reason our hydro is wanting to stick to the walls of our thief ,it's like static
  14. I

    Damn !

We opened the bucket and looked after the first four days of no bubbling
  15. I

    Damn !

I have a BrewersBest imperial nut brown , thought we did everything by the book , but we pitched and and days later almost no sign of fermentation , went back to LHBS , got some of the same yeast , repitched and still nothin days later again ... I'm bout to pull it out of the chamber and stir...

  19. I

    Rousing yeast ??

My damn hydrometer keeps sticking to the walls of my thief so I still haven't got a reading , but it's imperial nut brown ale kit from truebrew .. Not sure the yeast , it was a uk strain in blue sachet , I wanna say I remember an UK 04
  20. I

    Rousing yeast ??

Sitrep is my yeast is slow or dead or something .... We couldn't get it under 80 so we sealed the bucket up threw it in the ferm chamber overnight hopin it would get down to 70 or lower , but we woke up and found it didn't go down at all so we pitched at 79f the morning after ... That was about...
