Only one reason I can think of, you didn't top it off back to 6.5 gallons did you?

The syrup making was interesting, and the brew itself turned more or less into a tripel. I'm a bit scared of it blowing the bucket so I made a pre-emptive strike and just put the lid on top without "clicking it".

Yeah, altough not that record, only power games and S/t. I checked them and Heavy Load at the same time, the latter was more to my taste.

Brewed a Saison today, and tomorrow a Belgian with homemade "syrup". It's gonna be interesting to see how much color the syrup will add.
