Oh boy... I started with Mr. Beer. One batch and I was hooked. That following weekend I went out and bought a bunch of crap I didn't know how to use. It took the guys on here to get it all under control. Lol :)
**If I were you, I'd start with any of the Mr. Beer kits that sound yummy. Get your...
I go back and forth between bottled water and my tap water. (It's filtered and tasty) My sink isn't near big enough to hold my brewing pots. I have a 1 gallon measuring cup made by Pyrex. :) and a couple 4qt ones.
Benefits of having pastry equipment around the house. :)
Have you tried tightening the spigot? I had that problem with my bucket... washed and dipped my arm in sanitizer, then just reached in and gave it a couple turns. I didn't end up with a bad batch. :) Good luck!
May I ask what happened?
Thanks for all the info guys! I went and picked up minute rice and quick grits. I'll be brewing tomorrow. Today was a bad day. **I kicked my husbands ass**
cereal mash? How is this done? I just wanted an easy brew day. What more is there? lol :)
For clarification **because me an my son just woke up from a nap** Flaked rice is interchangeable with minute rice pound for pound? Flaked corn is interchangeable with 5 minute grits, pound for pound?
Hey guys... I'd like to know some alternatives for flaked rice and flaked corn... please.
I don't want a stuck mash and I am thinking about brewing BM's cream of three crops cream ale today.
P.S... even more dumb question, does the flaked corn and rice need to go through the grain mill?
More likely that those beers were lost to oxidation or perhaps what you were racking into being under-sanitized.* *yeah, I made my own word, get over it :)** Never had an issue with my tubing, just make sure EVERYTHING is clean and sanitized!
