    Hmmm.... closed transfer is something I have not done yet. I purge the keg right away after siphoning the beer into the keg seven times at 35 psi. Then hold it there for two days. This is what I was taught for a full keg. I will Need to research this method.

    I end up splitting a five gallon batch between two five gallon kegs so one of my sons can share the spoils of the brew. My question is, with all that head space, am I risking oxidation? My supply house owner says I will get oxidation. What do y’all think? Thanks!

    Thank you! I cleaned it up, put more stars an in the bubbler. It is already full of wort (not sure what to call it at this point)again. I also realized that I put almost twice the milk sugar I was supposed to. I guess I was doomed in this recipe. Blueberry Hefe btw. I may end up with wine.

    We did it. Managed to brew 2 batches. Chilling the wort on the second batch now. Good to know our beer can produce a solid buzz. Neighbors probably hate the loud ass country music. Can’t beat it!

    We are brewing an Irish red ale clone of whiskey in the jar. If we are sober enough, we will brew snowmelt wit clone after that. Venison on the grill as well while drinking our own hair if the dog ale.
