    i put 1/4 of a teaspoon of suger into a 2 litre bottle holding the brew today, and it went mad... so i put the lid on and but it back with the others :) I will let you know if it works

    hi guys,,, I put a 3 oz of suger in the barrel and screwed the lid shut... it dont have any extra pressure bits to it... it just holds the pressure of the brew... Like i say i tried to save the brew and develop a fizz by putting it in bottles, but that hasnt worked... could i drop more...

    Hi guys, I have done my first brew or lager and then stored it in a pressure barrel during the second fermentation part. anyway i left it a 7 - 10 days like the instructions said and it still had no fizz so i started drinking it... i have since found out that i should have waited 4 weeks...

    My first brew that i was on about before... still has no fizz and has been in the plastic bottles for nearly 2 weeks.. is there anyway i can kick start the brew to make a fizz?

    Hi, The kit i used is a Gerodie Lager Kit - GEORDIE LAGER 40PT from Homebrew It Yourself I havnt done any proper brewing yet :| lol the instructions say between 18 - 24 Deg C for fermenting. Cheers

    Thanks for the reply :) I thought lemonade was carbed.... ive just been reading some other posts and it seems the pressure release valve stops it from exploding... but should be left for over 3 weeks to get carbed :) I guess i was just rushing it, Im gonna brew my next lot tomorrow...

    will it make more pressure then lemonade? Because i was thinking of using them for my next brew... im not sure what i should do with my pressure barrel... is it normal for it to have a pressure release valve?

    well its out the barrel now, because i read that the valve on the cap was a pressure release valve... so i was worried that it was venting my pressure... Its now in lemonade bottles :) should i add more suger?

    Hi, Didnt prime it because i dont have a CO2 Injection kit, my pressure barrel just has a normal cap, with a valve in it. I stored it at room temp for about 4 days, then put it in the garage for about 8 days... then put it in a fridge so about 4 Deg C... Now its in plastic 2 liter...

    Hi, My first ever brew was done with a youngs brew buddy pack. (a tin of dark goo + water and suger) Is there any insructions on the forum or maybe a website that shows you how to make lager without the use of this tinned dark goo? cheers Kirk

    ahhh,, :) so next brew...after fermentation, i just need to add the 85g suger to then put the new cap on... it should... fill up with loads of co2 and then make the beer fizzy?... my only fear.... is it possible the barrel would explode? if the pressure got to high? also is there anyway to...
