using a scale to measure volumes

Has anyone had experience with using a scale to accurately measure wort during their brewing process? I have marks on my fermenter and a wooden stick with notches, but I'm curious to know if anyone tried throwing their carboy onto a scale and then racking the wort in order to get a more precise...

how to uncarb an over-carbonated keg?

Adjust the PSI to what you want, then move the gas line to the beer line and hold the pressure release pin open. You'll hear the CO2 bubbling through the beer. Do this for a few minutes and move the gas line back to the gas line.

    Issue with filtering my beer

Ok I'll look at the setup. You're probably right about the dip tube being plugged up but I'll know for sure tonight when I do some trial and error solutions. Thanks again!

    Issue with filtering my beer

Thanks BigB I'll give that a shot. If it is the keg what do you think it could be if I ran starsan through the setup without an issue?

    Issue with filtering my beer

I've definitely overlooked more obvious things in my setup but I did have the filter setup attached to both liquid-out posts. The CO2 was connected to the right keg and when I purged the keg it was definitely getting the CO2 in there. The plastic wrap was also off the filter.

    Issue with filtering my beer

I'm having a problem filtering my beer where the beer is not being pushed out of the first keg to go through the filter and into the serving keg. I ran a few gallons of starsan through the setup without an issue, leaving the filter out of the filter housing. I soaked the filter in starsan for...

    Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale?

Alright! I'm probably going to brew this on Sunday. Anyone try to harvest the yeast from this beer? I know it's not bottle conditioned.

    Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale?

@jeffdill - Yeah I scratched my head when I got this back from Lagunitas. @MikeyBrew11 - I'm curious to see what you find out from them. Keep the list I posted in mind too if you wouldn't mind.

Best solution for cleaning beer lines

I can't wait to try it! It looks so easy to make and much cheaper than some of the cleaning systems on the market.

Best solution for cleaning beer lines

I just bought all the parts to make the build in the link below. Don't waste CO2 pushing cleaner through your lines. http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/community/pimp-my-system/show?title=pimp-my-system-beer-line-cleaner

    Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale?

I think so. I'm not sure who added this beer on beeradvocate but the description mentions it's made with 50% wheat.

I need a short, fat kettle!

I have, at most, 15" of clearance on my stove and I want a 10 gallon aluminum kettle that's around 13" in hight. Anyone have any suggestions? I found S/S ones online but I would rather not spend that much on the pot. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hey all I'm doing an apricot wheat beer now and I'm going to be adding puree to a secondary in a few days and I wanted to know if anyone here has had experience with making their own puree? I'm thinking it's going to be a pita to make sure everything is sanitized throughout the whole...
