    Anyone use a table?

Does anyone have an experience with something like these tables in the link below? http://www.amazon.com/s/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&field-keywords=24%20x%2060%20stainless%20steel%20table&linkCode=ur2&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3A24 Seems like this would work to hold 3 15 gallon...

    Tart and Funky Saison

I'll be using a blend of 3726 and 3724 as the base fermenters. I'll grow up the Brevis and Brett strains to go in the secondary with an oak spiral. Then I can just pull the oak spiral and move from batch to batch.

I wish they would bring back ______

Bc people no longer rub dirt on it and get up. There is an antiseptic/sanitizer on every desk. I've been in some people's houses that remind me of hospitals bc there is a hand sanitizer on the wall or on every desk. I see people constantly having to go to the dr for allergies or being sick...

I wish they would bring back ______

This is hilarious for numerous reasons. I never knew they had a print version and also, who doesn't use their smart phone on the john now days? haha

    Tart and Funky Saison

Thanks for sharing! I too listen to the Sour Hour every time it's on air. I save the podcasts to listen to when traveling. I haven't had Saison Bernice yet but I'm always looking. I think I like that approach of adding the built up cultures. I have all of those but the omega on hand. I...

Who has the most obscure hobby?

I play guitar mostly finger picking so the banjo came fairly easy. It's really fun. I've since switched to clawhammer banjo and I'm working on it. It's harder but man, it sounds awesome.

Who has the most obscure hobby?

Good luck! I play guitar as well. Last year I bought a banjo to teach myself. Got that down then bought a mandolin. Now I'm working on harmonica. Music is really fun and relaxing.

Who has the most obscure hobby?

I collect comics and Magic the Gathering cards. Not so much MtG anymore though. Love to play just don't have the time. I need to sell off some of my older cards to get the money. I used to play the magic finance game of buy low and sell high. It's fun but can get expensive and hard to keep...

    Tart and Funky Saison

Mine was calculated to around 6 IBU on the Berliner. On my Saisons they can get higher but when I'm wanting a tart one I try to hover around 10 then dry hop it for some hop presence before bottling. Or when I blend the Saison with Lambic I can hop it up then after blending it's the best of...

    Tart and Funky Saison

Last Berliner I did was with two packs of Brevis from Wyeast. Pitched and held at 95F for 4 or 5 days and it never got tart. Mostly a yogurty must smell. I'm betting that wasn't a great start to the day! haha I've used both WL and Wyeast with agreed lackluster results. I may order some...

    Tart and Funky Saison

I have a question on what you guys think would be the best option for a bit of tartness in my Saisons. I am primarily a Saison brewer. I brew hoppy ones, brett (funky ones) and tart/old style ones as well. I’m looking to get a bit more tartness in the beers the best way possible...

    WLP644 -Brett B Trois

This is my exact experience with it as a solo strain in a brew. I pitched it with Claus. and had better results with aging. When I did a Saison grist fermented with Trois solo, the young beer tasted super fruity and smelled amazing. Over time, it dwindled to muddled and simplistic. Actually...

    HERMS Controller Recommendations

Thanks for all the help everyone! I'm ordering my kettles today. The controller will be next! Going with Bru Gear for the kettles. (2) 15 Gallon Electric Kettles and (1) 20 Gallon Kettle with false bottom for the mash tun. Going to pick up their HERMS kit for one of the kettles as well...

    HERMS Controller Recommendations

Awesome! That sounds great. I'm weighing the PID vs BCS options now. I don't know if I would use all the features of the BCS over the set it and forget it PID.

    HERMS Controller Recommendations

These are definitely the Cadillacs of the ones I've seen. I wouldn't mind paying for it as long as it works. Much safer for everyone involved if I don't build it haha! These look pretty awesome and can add more temp ports which would be useful. Anyone have any experience with them?
