Farm direct hops for $0.29 ounce

No joke. I just picked up like 11 lbs and only spent $78! Here's the website Talk to Paul. NO MINIMUM ORDER He said he'd mail you an ounce and it would only cost you a stamp. For pics, check out my blog http://poorhousebrewing.blogspot.com/2010/12/freaking-cheap-hops.html

    Rubber Stopper Weldless Thermometer

No boiling. Just for the MLT and HLT. The rubber is rated up to 230* and the hottest liquid it would be in would be 180-190

    $12 false bottom

I thought about it, but I figured the strainer would hold up the weight of the grain. Although I do like the savings idea :)

    $12 false bottom

Not PVC, it's CPVC and CPVC is fine up to 200 degrees and I'm not going to boil it since it's a false bottom for my MLT. I didn't go with copper because I'm a cheap-o and I had the CPVC on hand.

Man, you guys are wussies. If I pound a 1/4 inch long stopper into a 1/8 inch hole...there's no way it's coming out!

    Keggle Temperature

20 bucks? Do you think I'm made of money???? I'm going with the stopper :) I'm pretty sure that the metal gets hotter than the liquid inside, but I'll risk it. Worst thing that'll happen is I have to drill a larger hole for the weldless kit.

    Keggle Temperature

Do any of you all know what the temp is on the metal of a SS keggle when it is heated? I'm trying to figure out if I can do a weldless thermometer ghetto style (just a rubber stopper with a hole drilled for a thermometer).
