Just checked on my porter after being in the secondary for 3+ weeks. I now see some white "spores" on the surface of both carboys (10 gal batch) and the airlock is showing activity where there hasnt been any for weeks. Need a picture, or do the signs say it's infected?

Thanks for the replies. I think I just am going to make two half gallon starters instead of one large one. More familiar to me.

I bet you are ok. I think if there was too much gas you would have known about it in the form of a big bang.

I think it is Austin Homebrew that has a threaded pump, like the ones on hand soap. Each pump is enough for 2.5 gallons of water IIRC. That's what I have used forever, works well. You may be able to find a pump that fits around the house.
